I shall not give the name of the place where I work, nor where I live, etc.etc. because someone might have a wrong perspective, blahblah, whatever.
I'm just putting down what me and my fellow bathers have to go through today.
Everything was going well until we have to work on three dogs that are infected with scabies. This is contagious to dogs and humans. It deals with intense itching and terrible sores and you could get it by directly touching the infectant. All the clothes have to be washed immediately and the kennel runs and cages (everything they had touch) has to be scrub down with bleach and disinfectant.
So since I didn't bring an extra set of clothes (I didn't know we had to deal with these dogs because I'm part-timer sweatdrop ), they had to deal with the three dogs. They had to wear surgical scrub hats, gloves, mask, and shoes. They finally went in there, cleaned them and put them in their cages. After that, they changed out of their work clothes and went into their extra set of clothes.
One of them to check the dogs as I was working on nail trims in general. She comes back and told us the dogs escaped the cages and they're running around in the bathing area (of course she closed the door so they won't leave the building).
Now, I'm upset. These dogs are infected and the owners should had waited for the treatment to compeletely take care of it. Also to, my supervisor wanted us to bath these dogs against the veternarians wishes in order to please the owners. She doesn't realize that if the whole kennel gets infected, the owners of those dogs will sue us and sue the owners of the infected dogs. What also made me upset is the fact that she could care less about the saftey of her workers in order to get some money through the door.
I'm done for now.
