work in progress o.x
She looked up at the sky through the window. So dark she thought to her self. She opened the window and stepped onto the ledge. She looked down from the 5th story window. She felt the cold air prickling her face and she smiled wickedly. I could jump, she thought, I could jump and all my problems would go away, because I'd be dead. She grasped the window for balance. It'd be so easy. Just let go of the window and lean forward. She closed her eyes. I wouldn't worry about a thing anymore, no more life means no more worries, no more sadness, no more anything. She closed her eyes tighter and leaned out a bit, still grasping the window. No more pain, pain, pain, pain. Thoughts echoed in her head. The thought of no more pain was almost too good to pass up. A hand gripped her arm where she was grasping the window. She gasped and let go of the window, her feet slipped, and she was caught by the mysterious hand. Then she saw him, pulling her to her rescue, I didn't want to be rescued she thought quietly as he pulled her in the window.

"WHAT THE ******** WERE YOU THINKING?" The man yelled loudly at her. That I was going to die and be free from all this, she thought to herself. "I wasn't thinking," she said quietly looking at her feet, her heart was racing over a million miles per hour from the thrill of almost dying. "Listen Jessica," he said her name with poison spit at the end of it, "I'm supposed to watch you, your mom and my mom were great friends, now just let me take care of you!" She frowned, "I'M SEVENTEEN I DON'T NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OFF, YOUR ONLY ONE YEAR OLDER THAN ME DAVID!!!!" she screamed at him. He pointed at the window where she just tried to jump, "Obviously you do, I don't want your death on my conscious!" She mumbled, "you wouldn't care if I died, you just care if your friends or family found out you let me..." "HA! I wish it was that simple Jessica, now come on, lets go home," David sighed and took her hand practically dragging her to their apartment.

Ever since Jessica's mom died 2 years ago, she's been living with David. David lives alone in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment, no kitchen, no shower, and no breathing space. "Go put some clean clothes on," David said quietly, "I'm having guests..." Jessica scowled, she went to her room, tiny 7x8 room, cramped, all that can fit in it is a twin bed and a small dresser with a mirror on top. She looked in the mirror, I used to be pretty, she thought, I used have a different date every night, I used to be popular, before my mom's death... before she got cancer she looked down as a tear fell down her face. She sighed loudly and put a new dress on that David bought her as a present last month. Why does he try to make her happy, she never shows any gratitude or a smile anymore.

Jessica walked into the small dining area where her aunt and uncle were standing. "Auntie? What are you guys doing here?" Jessica's aunt, Sharon, replied "We are here to take you to live with us." Jessica's mouth fell open, "But... but, I don't wanna be anywhere else but here." She frowned as tears burned in her eyes. Here in this city is where she grew up with her mother, she didn't want to leave any attachment to her mother she had left. "Why?" She turned her stare to David who was silent in the corner. "I just thought you'd be happier away from your old memories," he whispered quietly.

to be continued eventually
