Y'ello there! For anyone reading this, it's now 0706, PST, and I'm kinda boered. This morning, my mother was supposed to drive me to work with her, and drop me off at college, but she's changed her mind. Instead, (Which is really nice of her) she's gonna come home for lunch and drive me. So, I got up at 0530 instead of my usual time around 8-ish...
So, why such a fuss about transportation? Because I'm going to Ani-Magic in Valencia this weekend. (Wave if you're going! I'll be dressed as my Gaia avatar, so I won't be too hard to spot...) My boyfriend's driving, we're meeting at the college, so it's pointless for me to drive there, and I've got an insane suitcase. Plus, I've gotta stay up until the wee hours on Thursday finishing my second costume (Sara from Macross Zero, if anyone knows what the Hell I'm babbling about)
Today, then, is both going to suck, and be great at the same time. One thing that' s gonna suck is my history test. Marbury Vs. Madison, judicial review, the War of 1812, and I'm so not ready for it all...
Also, my boyfriend (Zach McClure on Gaia if anyone's interested) will have been up since ohh...10:00 yesterday morning, and in command of a bunch of Civil Air Patrol cadets at the Mojave space launch. For those of you scratching your heads going 'huh, WTF is that?' it's the first ever non-Government funded space launch, for a huge frickin' prize. For those of you still lost, turn on CNN, for those of you in Europe that are lost, turn on BBC news, anywhere else, sorry I can't help you. So to summerize a long story (You can start reading again now) he'll have been doing traffic control since three this morning, yelling at kids not getting enough sleep, and generally, not getting any himself. I hope he doesn't crash his car on the way to College. His plan is to sleep in the parking lot, so I guess he'll snore and I'll read my history book. Then, tomorrow, we'll finish our costumes up, and Friday we'll drive to Valencia. Damn I hope that someone actually recognizes my costume and asks who I am on Gaia. That'd just make my weekend perfect. Well, that and an A on my history test.
