Ambrose looked at me and swallowed, I could see my fear reflected in his eyes.

His face solidified, no emotion was detectable in his features, I knew he was going over the different senaro's in his head, it was obvious when he was engrossed in his own thoughts. Ambrose had never looked older then at this moment even if i wasn't a vampire seeing him like this I could sense he was older then he appeared. He was silent for what seemed hours, but could only have been minutes.

I closed my eyes and let out the breath id been holding, I expected as much. I knew waht my blood held it would nourish her better than any other blood if it is true that I am the one from the prophecy. I gatherd all the courage I could scrape up and i knocked on the door.
