And Then, I Started to Write...
A Journal of my "Whatevers" and "Anyhoosits".
Katyalina (Kat)
Kat, 18. She is of humanoid species, but on her planet considered a 'metahuman' because only few possess super-abilities. She has superhuman strength, ultraviolet radiation that is channelled and projected as destructive blasts, 'energy bolts', and telekinetic abilities. She can also assimilate languages and memories through physical contact. But only if it is permitted or if her will is strong enough to break through the Individual's mind barrier.
She is also proficient in armed and unarmed combat, and a very, fast, learner.

The sirens were blaring while the announcement reiterated that this was not a test. Panic hailed through the streets as the Nephgaurians desperately tried to escape the overwhelming storms of the enemy's numbers. The city was under attack. "Evacuate as many as you can, do it quickly!', yelled General Ottobar to his men. The ones who were able fought on bravely and as hard as they could, despite the fact that they were no match for the formidable foes and their stealthy attacks and maneuvers. But that did not mean they would just lay down and die. They had people to protect.

"Katyalina!", cried the queen. She sobbed as she could not find her only child. She ran into terrified servants, asking them had they seen her daughter, but no one had. Where had the girl gone? Had she been kidnapped during the siege? Was she the first one to be evacuated? The queen's mind raced with thoughts of terror as she presumed the worst. She had to find her daughter, or at least, die trying....

"Princess! You must leave now before its too-," the guard's words were cut short as he was impaled through his heart from behind. Blood sprayed on the princess's face before she could turn her head away in disgust. The seven-foot-tall, razor backed beast, with flaming red eyes and pincers for hands glared hungrily at the princess. She glared right back, but with a look of burning hatred for this beast, the Malificar. With a mighty roar she lept at the beast, her energy powered fists glowing bright green as she aimed a mighty blow at its face. It roared loudly at her as it aimed a pincer to her torso. She managed to strike it first, her energy bolt cut through the beast like a knife through butter. It was dead before it hit the ground...

Back at the castle, her mother still searched for her, tirelessly. "My queen, why haven't you escaped with the others as yet?!", General Ottobar asked heatedly as he ran towards her. "I cannot find my daughter Ottobar!", she snapped back. He growled under his breath. He knew if she was anywhere, it'd be in the thick of things... "I know where she is My Lady, but it will not be safe for you to follow. Head back to the evacuation deck, we will be there shortly!" He said assuringly before having two of his men hurriedly escort her away. "This child will be the death of me...," he mumbled before running off to find her.

With her powers she was able to effortlessly take down fifteen of the beasts on her own. When Ottobar found her, she was on her sixteenth. "It's good to know I've taught you well, but it is time for us to go, NOW, princess," he said to her as he gestured for her to come his way. "But we can take them! This is easy!" She bragged. "These are just the grunts, you have not endured the generals, the mages, the Calvary! Princess, our army is over run and not prepared for this. It is an invasion of epic proportion! Now WE MUST GO!," he shouted. She sighed, "fine...," she muttered before reluctantly following him. Along the way they took down all that stood in their path. Together they were a force to be reckoned with. Bu even still a dent was barely made in the enemy's numbers. The odds were not in the Nephgaurians' favor at this point. It was twenty to one...

Finally, they reached the evacuation deck. The queen hurriedly ran to her daughter and hugged her tightly before scolding her. "Mother we do not have time for this get back on the sh-," her sentence was cut short when she heard the bloodcurdling scream of General Ottobar. As she whirled around to see what happened, her eyes widened as she saw his lifeless body being hurled towards her. She shoved her mother out of the way and took the hit, which threw her off her feet and into the ship's side. She was sure a rib cracked but she had no time to check, it was time to fight once more.

This monster was not like the others. It was bigger, meaner, scarier, three factors that did not phase Katyalina. The queen called out to her daughter, but she did not hear, she was in the zone! She flew at the beast, jammed her glowing fist into its chest, but as she did, he smacked her with all his might, sending her flying into a pillar. It broke and crumbled on top of her, knocking the wind out of her for a moment. When she crawled out of the rubble, she saw the beast heading for her mother, who was frozen with fear. She was bit dizzy but, she hurriedly got to her feet and went for another attack. As she landed on the beasts back, it tried to grab her, but she quickly avoided its pincers. She grabbed each one as they came towards her, she locked them in between her arms and with her super strength began to rip the beasts arms off its body. Everyone watched in awe and horror as she savagely did so. The beast whaled in pain, but it's cries were cut short when she jammed its pincered hands down its throat, tearing up its insides on the way down. She jumped off the beasts back and then concentrated a decent amount of energy into the shape of a sphere, then hurled at the beasts chest. When it stuck, she placed a protective barrier between the ship and the beast, two seconds later, it exploded. The beasts parts flew everywhere. The people cheered as victory was declared. Katyalina simply smirked. Her mother ran to Ottobar, who miraculously still lived. He had already lost too much blood, he was not going to make it to the next destination with them. "You did well child," Ottobar said proudly, "a little savage for my taste....," he added under her breath before he started to cough up blood. "Go, you two must go...," Ottobar whispered, he could feel himself slipping away. Katyalina nodded and then grabbed her mother, who was all tear eyed. The two got on the ship. But just as it was about to take off, a man appeared. With all the strength Ottobar had left, he tried to raise his gun to the man, but it was no use. The man simply kicked it out of his hand and then stepped on his wound and ground his foot deep into it. Ottobar hollered out in pain. Katyalina saw this and flew into a rage. Her mother begged her not to go, but she flew off the ship and tackled the man without much thought.

As she raised her fist to begin pummeling him, she paused. This moment of hesitation was all the man needed to blast her off of him. She flew across the landing area and landed on her back. She rolled over and was on her feet in seconds. "Hello darling," her father said with a twisted grin, "it's so nice to see you...". Ottobar, who, still hadn't died yet, shouted, "you cannot...best him...child...go.....before...late..." Katyalina ignored his words and charged. Effortlessly the man sidestepped the attack and smiled as he looked her dead in the face before elbowing her in the ribs. She didn't have anytime to react to the pain, because before she could, he was already onto his next attack. He was faster than she was, stronger, more experienced. She was in over her head. And when she realized it, it was too late, she was savagely beaten and curled into a ball on the floor. She held her ribs as she tried to crawl away, but her father followed closely. "So, I see you cowardly mother has left you, poor child, should've stayed with ME," he said angrily before kicking her. She coughed up blood as she slid across the floor. "Well, now you have no choice since you're beloved planet is going to be destroyed. You'll have no home. So, by DEFAULT," he said, before kicking her again, sending her to the other side of the landing, "you're mine. And since I'll be the only living relative you have left....," he said before aiming his palm at the ship, "you'll grow to love and respect me," he whispered. His palm charged up and a shining, hot red bolt appeared. Before he could blast it, Katyalina charged him, kncking him to the ground. With her rage and unbridled strength, she began to pummel his face in, shattering every bone in it. Through it all he laughed, which only made her punch harder, til there was almost nothing left. Once her rage subsided, she realized she was fighting a carbon copy of him. It laughed and laughed until its voice box began to die out. She sat there, panting, until it whispered, 'boom....'. With that, explosions could be heard all across the kingdom. Katyalina looked over to Ottobar, who laid there dead now, and then hurriedly got to her feet. She didn't have enough strength in her to make it to the airship, so she hopped into a space pod, hoping that it was programmed to take her to the secret destination-point. Once inside, it took off, safely saving her from a certain, fiery death as her planet began to explode and collapse.

The blast was so tremendous, it knocked her off course, she had no idea of how to pilot the pod and ended up in a different galaxy altogether. After getting caught in an asteroid shower, her pod was damaged and ended up gravitating to the nearby planet's orbit, the planet Earth. She crash landed there, shards of glass flew everywhere as her pod's window shattered on impact. She was impaled in the lung by a large piece. She blacked out and slowly began to bleed out....
