a/n:: THIS ONE TIME I SAID I WAS GOING TO WRITE ABOUT THIS INSPIRED THINGY FROM A TEXT POST AND YEa here is the first little bit that I figured I might as well post it's really ******** s**t but Im gonna post it anyways uvuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
She thought he was going to be different.
Clover knew she was ugly; there is nothing pretty about a girl with hair on her arms and too much fat on her stomach. She knows this better than anyone, spending nights flipping through fashion couture magazines and spending mornings staring at her reflection in the mirror while thinking about how absolutely disgusting she looked.
It wasn’t like it hurt to think about or anything. It was just a natural fact of life, something that she had forced herself to accept. Clover knew she was ugly. She had always known.
Even still.
She had thought Walter would be different.
They had met eachother in grade school, a friendship that had started off as playing on the swings together and sharing snacks but had ended up somewhere…different. Awkward. Clover wasn’t exactly sure what happened, but her ‘good mornings’ and ‘hellos’ stopped gaining response, let alone any form of acknowledgement at all. She had crushed on him anyways, because Walter was a very beautiful boy.
He had brown hair and tan skin and a charming smile (just like a prince) and had seemed oh-so nice to all of the other girls Clover had seen him talk to. He seemed perfectly approachable, to the point shy little Clover had asked him if he wanted to go out to get frozen yogurt and hang out, like old times.
But then he had stared at her with furrowed eyebrows and a cornered look
apologized and said,
"I dont date fat girls,"
and Clover had hated herself a little more.
