As soon as the demons began to pour forth from the hole, i knew i was going to die. When you see a giant ogre walking straight towards you, you just know that there is no escaping. i tried to let other people know. but they didnt believe me. i tried to warn them. but they wouldnt listen.
and so i ran out my door, and down the steps. right into the path of 3 small imps. luckily, i had my poor quality katana with me, i knew it may come in handy. i unsheathed it, and swung it down hard upon the first imp.
his head split in two and he fell to the ground. blood squirted everywhere as his body began to shake violently. but as soon as he had died, 10 imps replaced him from the portal.
i dispatched the next one, with the same, unsure swings that had brought the first down, and then the second as well. i heard a sickening scream from down the road, and then a loud boom and horrific laughter. laughter so deep, that it could only come from the ogre. i saw the ogre, he was atleast 25 feet tall, and he was ugly. blood stained him from his mouth to his chest. i watched in horror as he tossed a half eaten woman to the ground. i felt the world begin to spin around me, but i knew that i had to make it to the trail. so i began to run, right for the ogre, i ran so hard, that i felt the wind pull my hair back. and right as the ogre began to lift his huge hammer. i darted for the woods.
i was running so fast, that i flew over the edge of the steep embankment. and started rolling. i didnt even feel the pain, my mind was elsewhere. the things i had seen in the past ten minutes had changed me forever. i realized that i had stopped moving, i jumped up, and began to run some more, toward the creek. when i saw 2 more imps, these ones had weapons, weapons made for killing. i looked at my sword, it had begun to crack. i knew it wouldnt last for much longer. so i watched the imps. they were coming toward me, but i didnt think they had spotted me.
i waited for what seemed like an eternity, standing there, behind a tree. waiting, i could barely hear their footsteps over my heartbeat. it was racing. finally, the appeared, and i leapt. i leapt out from behind the tree, and swung my sword down, with all my strength. i felt a sickening thunk, and heard a horrible squeal. the other imp instinctively grabbed its weapon, without thinking i pulled on my sword but it was stuck in the dead imp's skull, its body shook as i pulled. the attacking imp cut at me, all of its blows met my lifless imp sheild. i finall pulled the sword from its head, and swung. the little imp blocked, and my blade broke. it slashed at me, and cut my shirt. its sword hit the ground and i jumped on it. using my weight to pull it to the ground. i layed on top of it, i felt it struggling, so i grabed the nearest large rock. i began to swing. i swung and swung, feeling thump after thump, until the imp stopped moving.
i stood up, i was shaking. i looked at what i had done, two lifeless bodies layed on both sides of me. i grabed their bodies and pulled them to the creek. i but them under the rocks, and i took their weapons. i knew they wouldnt be the last, and next time there would probly be more of them. i began to realize what was instore for me. what i would have to do if i wanted to survive in this world.
i looked towards my home, smoke billowed from all sides of me, and the sky was slowly turning blood red. i took a deep breath and said goodbye to my old life, a life in a peacefull world. in little under an hour, i had become a killer.my world was now filled with monsters and my life would never be the same.
