Speedball, the other cause of death |

In gym, we were going to play a game of 'Speedball'. It's like basketball meets soccer... Somewhat. When you throw the ball, you cannot move, you can only take one step. So basicly the game is full of people passing the ball and throwing it. To score, you have to throw the ball into the goal... That's the soccer part. The goal is like a soccer thing, and there is a goalie too...
Anywho. As we were playing, I noticed that there was a place that was completely open. So, instead of trying to get people to pass me the ball, I decided to help the goalie and stop others from getting a point. It payed off a few times. One time, we were playing, and this guy was going to throw it into the goalie, so I put myself between him and the goalie..... Right after he threw the ball......
Fortunetly, I stopped the ball... Unfortunetly, my neck payed the price. What happened was that as soon as he threw, a few moments later, it hit my neck... The day before, we were playing dodge ball, and I tell ya, they throw hard! Anywho, I did block it.
It didn't hurt too bad, but I started to cry... I really for no clue as so why I did... It's probably like when you hit your nose hard, and you get teary eyed.... Or is that just me? Well, the guy who threw it wanted to know if I was okay, and if it hit my face (He saw me crying) I said 'No, it just hit my neck, no big deal.'
The other players (Mostly the guys on my team) also wanted to know if I was okay, and I said I did... Another guy messaged my shoulders (Apperently, that's how he tried to relax peoples. I saw him do that to another girl when she didn't feel good), and another said something about taking one for the team o.0
I stopped crying about... 5 minutes afterwards... The gym teacher also was worried... It was only one hit... >< I'm not that weak. I have a fairly high threashold of pain (Excuse my horrable spelling).... Interesting that I cried though... Ah well. I don't think it was too bad of a day. I may just want to play the game again. It was really interesting.
