since this is my first entry i guess i'll start by saying a little something about myself. first off i'm in highschool, but very VERY much ready to get the h#$% out. i'm a senior this year, and i'll be nineteen in the spring. no i didn't flunck, i just started school about a year latter than most people. i'm heading for college this fall, and still waiting to hear back as to whether i've been accepted to my first choice or not. i tend to be a little ... weird; partly by choice. i wear cat ears everyday, and tend to see the world in ... uncommon ways i guess you'd say.... you'll see anyhow. i've been homeschooled sinece the seventh grade, that is until this year. i left home last summer and moved about four hours away. i've been living with my best friend, who's in at a two year college right now working on her AA. we've both got the same full ride scholarship, so next year (when i'm in college and getting that scholarship money) we'll kinda be rackin' it in. it'll be a nice change from this year, we've been just barely getting by this year. anyway, the whole point it this is my first year in public school since the sixth grade. it's ... interesting. not to be .. insulting to anyone or anything like that, but it feels kinda like i've been droped into the stupid pit. my ap eng. class is doing a vocab test on friday ... *rolls eyes* our first word is 'access' i kid you not. please tell me that whoever is reading this knows what the word access means. other than that, i love my ap class and their a really great (and intelligent) group. i just can't believe we have access as a vocab word, not to mention skeptic, subtle, tolerant, and relevant. the list goes on. there's only four words on here (of 20) that i didn't really know. it was worse before though, in eng. 12 (where i was before transfering to ap) my class mates couldn't even write efficiant paragraphs, and didn't even know what a fragment sentence was. but i'm rambling on and probably sound like a concetted b*tch. not everyone here is stupid, and actually this sememster my classes and classmates have been pretty cool. the main issue i have is the scedual. i hate HATE public school sceduals. set class times, starting really eairly, and all that crap. they treat us like babbies too. ... unfortantly a lot of the student body really needs to be handled like that. i just wish the rest of us didn't have to suffer along with it. i mean, it's not helping any of us prepare for the real world to need passes to go potty and all this jazz. whatever >.<
alright well i've gone on and on now, and i think the assembly is over so i might as well log off and try to go learn something XP
always, ~Des
