She stumbled into the room, so helpless looking in her stance, her feet tripping over one another. Her hair so discolored in its body and health; her skin..so fragile and pale as porcelain. Her face, tear stained with beads of blood rolling slowly down from her eyes. I was puzzled by what she could have been holding; one hand out and the other with spread fingers at her chest. I tilted my head a bit in wonder as she nearly hit the floor the fourth time she tripped.
I jolted and caught her in my arms as she fell to her knees, at the foot of my throne. She looked up at me, as if the answer to every question was in my eyes. I looked her over in question as my eyes suddenly shot to the center of her motion. Her shaking hand..trembling fingers...gripping tightly, to what to my surprise..was a beating..Heart. Blood pouring over through her fingers as it beat roughly in her hand.
She spoke softly, lightly as if she hadn't said a thing, "I-is this, good e-enough, for you?" I stared in awe as it beat harder in her hand, spilling hot blood from it's valves. I scanned over her face a second before taking her blood stained hand from her chest, clinching it tightly. I spoke softly a bit hesitantly as my eyes caught a glimpse of the bleeding hole, gapping in her chest, "My dear,..their was no need for you to go so far, to give me this.." I quickly tore my dagger from it's sheath before I jabbed it into my chest.
The look upon her face nearly crippled me,..the sight of blood pouring from the corner of her eyes as she looked at me in disbelieve. I slowly but then quickly twisted the dagger, gently smiling at her as I throw it aside. I raised my hand to my chest, tearing my claws through my flesh as I dug into myself deeper. She gasped loudly as she watched me, rip my beating heart...from my bleeding chest. I smiled so softly, as I pulled her closer, having her set upon in my lap.
She looked at me in such deep confusion as I held my blood drenched hand out to her, "For what you have surrendered to me, I shall repay the price,..my heart..in exchange, for your love." Her dim eyes brightened as a light smile came across her face. My visible heart, beat and bleed faster, pouring the hot-red streams from between my fingers. I leaned to her, lightly pressing a kiss upon her lips as I wrapped my other arm around her waist,..lacing my fingers with her other hand, I pulled her closer, "This.." I held my heart so that she may see it, "This, is yours."
She leaned into my arms, the heart in her hand, beating uncontrollably, "And this...this one's heart...is for you." My face lightly flushed in the flattery, as I held her tightly, our hearts slowly merging in rhythm...We are now..one another's, forever.
