• The building seemed much different now, since my eyes were no longer transfixed on the luster of that girl’s hair. I never even got to learn her name. In fact, I don’t even know MY name. I carefully maneuvered around the floor, careful not to activate the alarm again. I thought back to when she (I’ll call her Julia, for now) summoned a bloodhound with that sheet of paper. I pulled out the sheet of paper with a rose on it, but, instead of a rose, there was now a dove on it. I focused all of my energy into it. Something happened, but it wasn’t a dove spawning. What happened is that I feel completely drained of energy. At least now I have the memory of what a raisin feels like. I fell to the floor, feeling completely wiped out. My head started pulsing again, like when I awakened. My amnesia stared to clear up. I could now see a person meditating at night on the roof of what appeared to be a skyscraper. In the vision, I heard footsteps. Bandits climbed to the roof, and… the vision ended. Back in reality, I struggled to get back on my feet. My chest started to feel icy cold, and there was a bright, blue glow piercing through the threads of my shirt. I pulled whatever it was out. It was an amulet, even though I don’t remember wearing one, even after I had awakened. On the back, it had words engraved on it. It was hard to make out. My vision was blurred. I had used the last of my energy. Once again, I fell to the floor with a thud.

NOTE: Tomorrow I will be starting on an entirely new series called "Open Waters" (Tentative Title)
