Clouded eyes were oblivious
to many things
Blistered sounds
Refrained in afternoon
A facade for the moment
A blink of an eye
Memories never fade
Locked away for eternity
Never to be known
The pain
Like a breath gone to waste
Sorrow?
The teardrop waiting to fall
Suffocated upon the scene
Which my glory is stolen
Dragged on the ground
Trying to regain my footing
Drifting through the seas of my mind
Not lost, but confused -
As to why I left me behind
Mind and heart
Grasping different ends
Which to choose
One, not the other
Win or lose?

Your poems are so refreshing.
I get so freaking tired of seeing all the horrid poems on here.
When I read your poetry, it revives my faith in humanity.
This poem is lovely!
