getting back up

i climbed the stairs
hoping to reach the top
it took a long time
but i finally made it
i rejoiced
but was to close to the edge
and fell
lying at the bottom
i stared up the sky wondering
where it all went wrong
i lied there at the foot of the steps
for wat seemed like forever
then when i thought all was lost
you called my name
and asked me to get back up
i desperately struggled up the steps
my foot slipped
but i did not fall
you caught me in your arms
and carried me to the top

Also, you might want to go through and work on the spelling, you've misspelled some words in this poem.
