I remember that day, I came home crying and you said
You'd always be there, but I couldn't hear
Because the love that you gave me, overwhelmed my ears
and I never knew that place, the place we both called home
would be your grave, cause darling if I'd known,
I wouldn't let you sleep, so far from my heart
nestled in the shroud of your deepest memories
I'd hold you dearly, and tell you it's alright, we'll be together for just one more night.
I remember the flowers, you tucked behind your ear
when you smiled up so sweetly, not a care in your heart.
I know you were so happy, just to be near, but darling just know that I'm always here for you.
I'll cradle you close, and I won't let you go, if you find yourself crying, I hope you'll know
that it's the love that you gave me, that kept me moving on
even though I'm far away, you know I'll always be strong.
My love, my love please never forget, though I don't say it often, you'll know I never regret
meeting you, and greeting you, and kissing your hand. Holding you so close you'll never understand,
that it's the love that you gave me, that kept me going on,
Darling it's you who will keep me standing strong.
And I know when the snow falls down and leaves us so cold
but when our days dwindle down, we'll be together, so old
And darling in our last days, we'll look back when we first met, and we'll know we saw forever in our first whispering breaths.

Description:
I was just randomly singing. Just one of those times when you start singing and you don't really know what you're singing but the words sound really good.
I butchered it anyway, as you can see I ended up resorting to rhyms near the middle..sorry for that y'all, I just couldn't remember the words, when I try putting it down to text, I just can't remember what I was singing, it's really weird.
anyhow, I hope you all enjoy it :) - Date: 12/06/2009
