Angel: Wow, it's been awhile....
Serena: So, how'd that Odyssey project for English go?
Angel: Really well!
Serena: You gonna put in on the internet?
Angel: If we get internet back on the laptop it's a very good possibility.
Serena: -Smirks-
Angel: What?
Serena: -Shakes her head-
Angel: WHAT???
Serena: Story
Angel: OH CRAP!!!!! I totally forgot! Thank you Hallia for you review.... -Stops- Why do I even say that every time? She's the only one that reviews!!!
Serena: Well, please enjoy this chapter!
Angel: Hey! That's my line!!!
Serena: So? -Throws a monster khaos into a closet. Angel follows and Serena locks her in- Mhuahahahaha!!!

Last time: Serena told Angel of her past and was introduced to the ways of the house, along with some of Angel's cooking.

Serena woke up to bright sunlight and Clara and Mia mewing in her ears. She slowly got up feeling refreshed and wanting to go back to sleep. Instead she walked to the bathroom and took a shower.

Angel stood at the stove, pancakes stacked on a plate to her left and an almost empty container of batter to her right. Coryn was sitting at her feet his neck in a relaxed s-shape with his nose just in front of the warm pancakes. On the table was a bowl filled with fresh homegrown fruit and a bud vase with a pretty blue flower.
Angel heard the shower turn on and continued making breakfast.

The day went by with little happening. Angel showed Serena her garden and orchard and Serena helped pick some of the ripe fruit.
Night came and Angel had Serena help get some blankets and pillows out of a cupboard and lay them on the floor.
"Remember, don't speak unless one of the wolf elders or I ask you a question,"
"I know."
"And when they tell you to sit outside do so immediately,"
"I know."
"And Coryn will make sure Clara and Mia are upstairs and out of the way. Any questions?"
"Angel, we've been over this three times! I got it already."
"Just making sure. Also, don't pick any fights with the packs." Angel shooed Coryn, Clara, and Mia up the stairs and closed them in her room.
"So, when exactly do the wolves come?" Serena asked as Angel came back downstairs.
"When you hear the wolf's howl you will know."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Exactly what I said."
"Argh!!! You can be so annoying!!!"
"Just keep your temper in check when the elders are here." Angel walked outside and sat in the grass, listening for the wolf howl. Finally she heard it.

Angel walked into the house. "The packs will assemble shortly."
"Huh? I didn't hear anything." Then Serena heard the eerie howl of the wolf and the reply of the rest of the packs. It sent a chill down her spine and she gulped. That noise pierced her soul and clouded her mind. Her thought became a blur. She felt faint and light headed.
"You should sit down." Angel smirked and went to the door.
"Is it always that creepy?"
Angel paused. "Yeah. The first time's the worst though, if Coryn hadn't been there to keep me awake and on my feet I would have fainted when they first came."
"So, they'll be here soon?"
"Very. I have to go out to greet them, so you just stay here and be quiet till I get back, kay?"
"Right"
"Good, I'll be back." Angel walked out the door and into the crisp night air. She heard the bushes at the edge of the forest rustle as the wolves came out. So, the meeting begins...

Serena sighed. This is gonna take forever...she thought as she waited for Angel to return. She heard another howl, this one much closer and joined by many wolves. One howl sounded a bit strange, she wondered if that was one of the elders, or one with a scar on its throat. Didn't matter, all that mattered now was that she followed Angel's instructions to the letter. She sighed again. This was gonna be a very long night.

Angel: Another chapter done and posted! Had no ideas for the wolves meeting so I had to stop there.
Serena: HOW'D YOU GET OUT OF THE CLOSET????????!!!!!!!!!!!!
Angel: You forgot, that's the closet I keep my lock picking kit in.
Serena: Oh, yeah... I need to find a place to hide that.
Angel: I'll have Coryn find it if you do.
Serena: Fine fine, I just wish you would let me just talk a little bit in the meeting...
Angel: Sorry, but the packs are all about discipline and if even one spoke out of turn it could cause disaster.
Serena: I still don't know why I had to sit still while you were outside.
Angel: All part of the discipline thing.
Serena: Right...
Angel: Well Hallia, please review!(And do you think you could get maybe one or two people to read this? I'm really starting to know how some writers feel...)
