Chapter One

I stare out into the darkness and hopeless alleyway wondering if she would be there. I started to run as I felt the crisp wind on my face with my sweat dripping off onto the ground. The sun was raising and time was running out. I knew I must push myself harder. My black leather coat was falling off, but I didn’t care.

Falling deeper into the alleyway, I realized that I wasn’t that far away. I saw light appear onto the horizon which made my heart stop of dire fear. I heard the demons crawling on the ground behind me. I stopped dead in my tracks and grabbed my onimusha sword from my belt. This is where my life story begins as I search for the one who said that will help me find my beloved.

Time didn’t stop. Seeing the demons’ small blood shot eyes with their small legs and arms made me gasp with a strike of fear. Those demons coming closer to me faster and faster was unbelievable to see. I must fight. Even though they only came up to my knees I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy battle.

I stood in position, in a right L stance, with my sword held horizontally to my waist.

As they came running at me I felt my every movement was being slowed down. I started to swing my sword back and forth cutting them bit by bit, but little did I knew. After my sword left their bodies, they formed back into place! Where they truly undefeatable? But that didn’t stop me, she must be found. I picked up my sword and swung it around faster and harder giving it more power and force.

They only howled at me in a violet horrid way along with jumping in the air coming closer to me with their razor-edged claws, I thought to myself, “If this is it, I’m not going without a fight, a real fight!”

“You’re not coming between me and my love!” I cried out with loss of breath.

I released the locking clasp on my blade, splitting it into two separate swords. I started to place one of them above my head across my body and the other one behind me across my back. The demons stared into my eyes showing me their anger as I started swinging both ends of the sword in a complete circle hitting each of them. But they also attacked me every chance that they had leaving me bleeding on the floor.

I felt dizzy and faint. Then I hit the floor…..

“You….be ….here…they….coming for ……you,” an anonymous voice said.

I looked around but no sign of anything. I was still dizzy from my fall which didn’t help.

Where are you coming from?” I yelled angrily.

“No where, but just for comedy, turn around.” The voice replied in a nice calm deep voice.

I turned around to find myself face to face with al demon comander. He had big black vampire like wings that went all the way on the bottom of his back that spread out over 20 feet. They had tears through out the wings but it didn’t stop him, He had red eyes with blue flames coming out. He had big bulged muscles and stood 7’4”. His skin glowed with black mystery as well.

I got nervous, so I picked up both of the swords and lashed them back together to make one and placed it horizontally in front of me. I stared at him wondering if he was going to fight me or just let me go without hurting me.

He looked back at me.

I swung my sword over my head and was ready to attack him. When I saw that he just stood there still I decided to make the first move on the battle, maybe then I would have hope getting away from it. I started to lash down my sword to attack him.

He looked at me then he just snaps his fingers that made my sword stop in mid air. I looked at my sword which was just an inch from his head. He didn’t think much of it and just looked at me like I was pathetic.

“Stupid human,” he started, “I was once like you. Small, useless, and powerless…….Now those days are over!”

The ground started to shake.

He started to laugh uncontrollably and raised his hands into the cold air.

“Why would you talk to me if you think that I was useless and powerless?” I replied.

“Why? I’ll tell you why. I’ve heard what you said, said about coming between you and your love. I’ll tell you what, you do something for me and I’ll help you get her back.”

“How do I know for sure that I can trust you?” I said in disbelief.

“You have my word. Just do something for me and it’ll be set.” The demon said smiling like there was something that he was hiding under his skin.
