A true Friend?

I need to know if we are true friend,
will your time by my side come to an end?

Can I discuss all secrets, even the most deep,
and lock them within yourself, just you to keep?

Are either of us without mortal flaws,
can you accept mine as I do yours?

I’ll be a shoulder to cry on when you’re blue,
will you be there when I desperately need you?

No matter how busy there is always time for you,
is there always time for me too?

I will take my hand and wipe away your tears,
will you do the same, and soothe my fears?

I will try to give you joy and make you smile,
can we share that even separated many miles?

I will not forget what’s important to you,
will you remember what’s important to me, too?

With you my most favorite things I’ll share,
If only I know do you truly care?

If you can accept me as I do you,
then I will know you are a friend most true.
