Time seemed to stand still as they stood three, once again face to face. They just stared deeply into each other's eyes as if they were searching for the other's very essence. The eyes are as the windows to the soul, and the iris is as the stain which represents that soul's element. If that were true, he was as the earth, and she was as the night skies.
When the moment was over, he leaned down with his arms outstretched, and grasped her in a warm and embracing hug as tears started trickling down his tanned cheeks.
She was shocked, she didn't know how to return the gesture and it felt as an electric wave shot through her vains. She shook her head as she wrapped her arms lovingly around him. She then whispered what her heart had been screaming at her to tell him all along.
"Aishiteru, Taka-kun."
