She closed her eyes. Her heart was racing. She felt him holding her tight, like he wouldn’t let her go, ever. She couldn’t help but feel warm all over her body. He was a few years older, but she didn’t care about that. Well, 8 years to be correct. She felt comfortable having his strong arms around her like this. She felt safe, like nothing could ever happen to her. She wondered if he heard her heart. It would be pretty amazing if he didn’t; ‘cause she felt it was beating like a drum. He lifted her up and next thing she felt was his warm lip against hers. It was amazing. Like a thousand butterflies was flying inside her stomach. She couldn’t believe that she was feeling a feeling as strong as this. But she knew it wasn’t right. She shouldn’t been doing it. It felt so right and yet so wrong at the same time. “I can’t… we can’t… we shouldn’t…” she looked at him with eyes filled with sorrow. “This is wrong, and you know it!” He looked at her. He felt sad. But he knew she was right. He shouldn’t have kissed her. It wasn’t right. He nodded. “You are right. I’m sorry… I just couldn’t stop myself… you are so pretty out here in the moonlight… it makes you look like a celestial being. A creature with divine beauty.” He smiled. She felt his hand touching her cheek. His touch was soft, and so light. She could hardly believe that he even touched her. He puts his other hand on her waist, and moved his other hand through her black hair. It almost felt like silk. “I love you, April. I love you!” his voice was low and deep. So low that she could barely hear it. He looked at her. She looked beautiful. Who could ever resist falling in love with April? Her hair was black like the midnight, and her eyes were greyish, almost silver, and surrounded by long, black eyelashes. Her lips were just perfect, and every time they curled into a smile, his heart melted. Her skin had got a golden brown colour from all the sun. Her skin felt soft as silk. She wasn’t very tall, but she was cute. She wasn’t too thin, and not too fat. She looked at him. His blue eyes were so pretty. They were a bit greyish, but the colour was so pretty. It suited him perfectly. She looked at his short, black and blonde hair. It was a bit messy, but it made him look hot. She couldn’t believe that he was standing here in front of her, telling her that he loved her. “I love you too, Nicholas! But what will Scarlet say if she gets to know it?” she looked at his shirtless chest, and blushed. He was wearing black pants. He had sneaked out to meet her. When she though over it, she wasn’t wearing very much either. A white t-shirt and a white skirt. She felt that he could see right through her shirt. She blushed and lifted her arms to cover her breasts. He took her hands, and removed them. “It’s okay, I wont look, promise.” He kissed her neck. “I have to go now…” she said. “It’s starting to get late. I shouldn’t be out this late…” he looked sad at her. “Can I meet you tomorrow, April?” His eyes begged her not to leave. “Yes… meet me down by the lake around midnight, ‘kay?” he nodded, took her hand and kissed it. “See you then, my dear princess!” she smiled and turned around and walked away. He just stood there, staring after her, even though it was so dark that she had quickly disappeared out of his sight, even if she was wearing white clothes. He turned around and left. He felt lonely without having his April close to him.
He walked through the door. It was morning. He had slept like a kid. It was long time since he had done that. As he walked down the stairs, he smelled the scent of egg and bacon. “Good morning, Nicholas!” Scarlet’s voice said. “Good to see you awake! Breakfast is soon ready!” he walked into the living room and sat down in the sofa. Great, another day with Scarlet’s horrible cooking, he thought. He thought about last night. April had been so beautiful. Scarlet was nothing compared to her, but he had no choice but to stick with her. He cursed his father for that. His father and Scarlet’s father had forced them to get engaged. He didn’t want that. He didn’t like Scarlet. She was too bimbo-ish. She had long blonde hair, and blue eyes. She was about 1.70m tall, and thin, and bony. Not anything like his round, and soft April. He didn’t like her at all. According to him, she was just a friend, nothing more. April was the only thing he cared about in this world. He walked into the kitchen and sat down on a chair. He looked at Scarlet. She wasn’t ugly, she was beautiful to look at, a sight for sore eyes… but she normally acted like she was worth a lot more than everybody else. Scarlet put a plate with something that looked like bacon and egg in front of him, but he wasn’t sure. It was too burned for him to manage to say what it was. “Err… Scarlet? I have to go! I’ll eat breakfast on my way!” Nicholas rose up and ran out of the door before she could stop him.
He picked the cell phone up from his bag and called April. After a few seconds she picked up. “Hello?” the sound of April’s voice made his heart beat fast. “Hi April! I’m on my way to you. Is it okay? Or is Zack there?” he hoped that Zack wasn’t home. Then he would be screwed. “No, he isn’t home! Want me to prepare some breakfast for you?” He smiled relieved. “Yes, please. Well, see you in a few minutes!” “See you!” He hung up and ran in direction of the bus stop.
After he had hung up, April hurried to make an omelette. She wasn’t very good at cooking, but better than scarlet at least. Right after she had put the omelette down on the table, she heard Nicholas knock on the door. She walked to the door, took a quick look in the mirror to check that she looked okay, and opened the door. “Hiya”, she stepped aside so he could enter the house. He stepped inside, took his shoes off and walked to the kitchen. April shut the door and followed him.
After finishing the meal, she started to wash the plates. She loved making food. Especially when she made the food for Nicholas. He always said it tasted good, even though she didn’t believe him. Nicholas said a lot of cute things to her. Like the things he had said last night. She smiled. Suddenly she felt him hold his strong arms around her. “Nicholas…” Her eyes filled up with tears. She felt so sad. Her heart was torn apart. She wanted to marry Nicholas, but her dad had engaged her with Zach. “Let’s run away together April! Just you and me! She turned around to look at him. Turned around to check if he was serious. “Nicholas… what would our parents say?” He just shock his head. “I don’t care what they say! All I care about is you, and our shared love. I mean… Don’t you see? Fate is messing around with us! We have to run away together or live separated… for the rest of our lives!” He said. He closed his eyes, but still he felt April’s look. What would she say? Would she refuse his suggestion, and love, or would she run away with him? “April, you know that I can’t live without your love, and I can’t live with Scarlet. Seriously, her cooking will kill me!” He opened his eyes to see April’s lips curled in a smile. This made his heart skip a beat. “Let’s do it. Tonight, we run away together.” His lips turn to a smile. This was more than he had ever dared to hope for. Only in his dreams he had dared to run away with her. But he needed her like he needs air. “But we mustn’t tell anyone about it before we are far away from here!” She said. He agreed to this.
A sudden sound from above drew their attention. “Huh?” Nicholas looked at April. “What was that?” he whispered. April shrugged as an answer. April walked up the stairs. “Hello?” She said and gave Nicholas a sign that he should wait where he stood. She continued up. A new sound from her bedroom made her enter the room. Her eyes open wide as she sees the person that is lying on her bed, before she run downstairs back to Nicholas. “Nicholas! You must leave, now! Zack is home!” April looked worried at Nicholas. “He is? But you said…” April looked intense at him. “I said what I thought!” Nicholas nodded. “I’ll leave… but don’t forget to meet me by the lake… and don’t forget what we are supposed to do!” He said. She nodded. “I won’t forget! But leave now! Hurry before Zack wakes up!” April said and almost pushed Nicholas out of the door. Nicholas started to run away back home.
April stands with a window that gives perfect view of the beautiful sunset. She turns around and walks out of the room, heading for the door that leads outside. “Where do you think that you are going?” Zack’s voice cut through the air. “I’m heading out for a walk.” April sound nervous. She doesn’t know what to say or do. Zack is obvious not happy with the answer she gave, and is walking closer to her, grabbing her arm hard. “You are not going ANYWHERE before I know WHERE and WHY!” Zack yells. April put her shoes on and runs scared out of the door. Zack doesn’t hesitate with following.
April ran and ran, not aware of the fact that Zack was following her. She ran to the forest, down to the lake, where se stopped. Stopped and waited. Zack also stopped, behind some trees, to watch over his fiancée.
Zack waited impatient, and seeing April wait so patiently, made him nervous. Was she meeting another male behind his back? Zack knew that April’s dad had arranged the engagement, but he had fallen in love with April, and would not accept losing her to someone else. After waiting for something to happen, someone to come, he almost fell asleep. But April sure didn’t feel sleepy. She waited patently still.
