In my world, darkness looomed, surrounding all,
As I looked to the sky I watched a star begin to fall.
As it continued to fall it lit up my world and the sky,
I felt the looming darkness around me slowly start to die.
As I continued to watch I stared in wonder and awe,
For it was then I realized it was an Angel, not a star I saw.
She came to Earth, Heaven forsaken,
Punished to fall, her wings torn and taken.
But what crime could she have commited?
Indeciding her punishment, her beauty and grace must have been omitted.
But how could one condem such innocence and grace?
Perhaps the Gods have forgotten their place.
Their job is to punish those guilty of sin,
A category Angels, like this one, do not fit in.
As she came craching down I caught her in my arms,
Something so delicate should not be put through such harm.
I listened to her sotry and learned she wasn't 'bad' just misunderstood,
Maybe the Gods wouldn't accept her, but I would.
What I would give to see a smile on her face,
The scars of her jagged past I'd like to erase.
As I wiped away the tears that she cried,
I vowed to forever remain by her side.
No longer alone in the darkness will I have to wait,
For now, together to teh darkness we have bound, concealed, and condemed our fate.
Together as one,
Until we're both undone.
