Stygia's compositions
This will be MY OFFICIAL writer's section on the net!
My first good composition since high school. Please read and leave a comment!

This story starts when Jim, a senior student and a very geeky kind of guy with eyeglasses, was infatuated with Michelle. Michelle, being a very pretty and kind lass, is no doubt will be the target of men of all places. A cute and pretty Japanese transfer, she's caring to her friends even with her enemies.

"Crap! She's goddamn beautiful. Not only she's pretty she's also very kind. What more can you wish for?!", Jim thought as he gazes his eyes on his damsel.

Every night, he always add this line on his diary:

".....her looks never bores me! If only I can tell her face to face how much I love her. But, I'm not even her friend! And besides, I haven't sowed the seeds of courage in this barren field of my feelings. I should wait for the right time then."

As time passed very quickly, their prom came. Jim felt like a shame because he didn't even invited Michelle to be his date. On the night however, he noticed that she was very sad.

"What's wrong?", Jim asked. Michelle just gazed him and continued her deep thinking. "I'm sorry. I must've surprised you. my name is Jim by the way. I'm very concerned about your... unusual behavior. Could you tell me what's wrong? There's no need for introduction by the way.", Jim said.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I don't try to be rude. It's just that my date didn't came. And the other guys are just not so... so.... so friendly looking.", Michelle spoke.

"Do you find me unfriendly?", Jim said.

"Of course not! Why did you ask?", Michelle answered.

"Then, would you allow me to have a dance with you?", Jim asked.

"Oh, thank you!", Michelle spoke and kissing Jim's cheek.

That night, the two danced and danced to their heart's content and Jim thinks that they are the only one dancing.

"You are such a great friend. It's a pity we will be separated next year. But, thanks for the wonderful night anyway. Goodnight!", Michelle said.

"Goodnight to you to", Jim shouted to her. "We're friends. We're just friends." Jim mumbles to himself as the pretty lass rode the way home.

That night he wrote this to his diary:

"......God! This was the best night ever in my entire life! Michelle just danced all the songs with me. But she only said that we're only friends. Well, that's okay! But, if only I could tell my feelings to her. But I can't do it! It would just ruin our friendship! Maybe the right time will arrive for my feelings."

But after the prom, Michelle didn't even talk to Jim. He was puzzled. He was thinking what could have he done wrong to her. And this scene continued until they graduated.

College passed. Jim now is a very successful engineer. But after all the years, he always thought about her. But the unexpected happened.

As Jim was walking to on the way home from his office, which is two blocks away from his apartment, he saw Michelle holding her hand with a guy.

"Oh Jim! How nice to see you here! It's been a very long time! How are you?", Michelle said with a glitter in her eyes.

Jim looked very shocked. "Oh my! I haven't introduced you to my groom-to-be. Jim, he's Kevin. And Kevin, he's Jim, my friend.", Michelle said and the two men shook hands.

They talked about each other for a very long time until suddenly, Michelle asked a frightening question. "Could you be my best man? It's because, you know, that I haven't got a male relative here and the wedding would be in three weeks. What can you say?", she said.

"Um, yeah! That would be great.", Jim replied without hesitation.

"Thanks! I will expect you.", Michelle said and bade themselves with goodbye.

Jim wasn't sure how to feel. He was very mixed up inside that he couldn't think properly. He was pressured. But he will still be supporting her, that's what entered his mind.

The wedding came and Jim was both anxious and nervous. He felt very sorry for him but felt very happy for Michelle.

"Oh, thank you! You came to my wedding!", Michelle said and kissing Jim at his cheek.

Many years after the wedding, Jim suddenly heard that Michelle died. As he went to the funeral, one of Michelle's friend showed him her diary and she asked Jim to read it. As he read the writings, he was shocked on what he read.

".....God! This was the best night ever in my entire life! A really nice guy named Jim danced with me all night. But I only said that we're only friends. What a jerk I was! If only I could tell my feelings to him. But I can't do it! It would just ruin our friendship! Maybe the right time will arrive for my feelings."

As Jim read this, tears fell down from his eyes.

-END-

The moral of my story? Oh come on! It's common sense! Just don't be afraid to tell you feelings to your lucky one because the "right time" you are waiting will be too late for you. Hope you enjoyed my story and you have learned a valuable lesson in life. Vedali volta e ringraziamenti seguenti per lettura esso! Grazie a ciao! -Stygia
