sometimes, i wonder
what i would do
without this little island of peace
in a sea of insanity
sometimes i wish
it wasnt like that
there's just so many thoughts
and so many people
thinking around us
can you feel the energy flow
that connects everyone?
we build on each other
we rely on one another
and i kind of wish it wasnt that way
but then i think,
i wouldnt have any friends then.
its nice to have a friend
someone else to lean on
its nice to have a friend
who really, truly cares.
what else am i to think?
thats how my friends are to me
but im the one who listens
to what they feel inside
gushing over
boyfriends, girlfriends, friends in general
and im okay with that.
but sometimes, i can tell
no one knows what I feel inside
its like im all alone
a little island of peace
in a sea of insanity
and im glad
that I'm that island
in the midst of the storm
in the midst of insanity
