passwords and keys
get so old
theres a password
and a key
to just about everything now
key to my heart
key to my mind
if you want it,
come get it from me
but youre not gonna get it,
even still
forget it
its my key
it belongs to me
so it stays with me
you can keep your own key
i dont want it
i want a side door into your heart
and if you give me one
i'll give you one to mine too
but the front door is reserved for Jesus
the back door reserved for
temptation and the devil
and they still wont find their way in
but you might be able to
i know Jesus is at the core of my heart
thats why the others
cant make it in
but still
its hard to get into my heart
without a key
you cant break down the door
so dont try that either
you need a key
and some fancy words
but mainly
you need the key
