I cant be sad for long
its just the way I am
I cried for like an hour today
so now, ive got to be picked up
and be happy
God comforted me today
He hugged me when I cried
I could of sworn it was lady orthodontist I know
But no, it was Him, I know
I felt Him give me encouragement
And confidence to go on
So I thank God
That He was there
When I needed Him most
And I realized, even though I doubted,
He's always there for me.
For some reason He loves me--
It doesn't make sense, I know--
Except to Him,
'Cause He's my God,
And I love Him so

So even when I thought He'd abandoned me,
Once again I'm back,
'Cause baby, you know I can't be beat
When I've got God's love shining on my back
