"You are one seriously mentally disturbed demon..." Tina frowns with her arms crossed as she looks down at Zee, who's in her kitten form, perched on the egg she's been carrying around. "Can you at least get off the poor thing? You are not a dragon, or reptile of any kind. And you certainly aren't a fowl. So stop acting like one."
Zee glares up at her. "Are you familiar with the words, Kill Joy?"
"Having fun, and acting like a fool are two different things."
Zee jumps off of the egg and morphs back into her normal self, then picks the egg up and storms out of the room. "I'll just go back to my own place."
Zapook stumbles from the opposite entrance, running after Zee, "Wait! I want to come with you!"
Few minutes later, Zapook and Zee were both on their way to the hill not too far from Tina's house. Both wore trench coats as Zee's tail wrapped firmly around the egg, and Zapook walked beside her with her hands in her pocket, the smoking vial on her back.
"You know Zeneeba..." Zapook sighed, "It's kinda frustrating dealing with both you and Tina when you're arguing like that. And you both fight over the simplest crap."
"Ever since Tina got her own place, she's been a b***h to me. I'm tired of her always gettin on my case about every god damned thing."
"...For one who doesn't like that word, you sure do use it alot.."
"What word?"
"b***h."
Zee glares at Zapook, then turns away and begins walking uphill toward her home. "Anyways...If she would loosen up every once in awhile, we wouldn't get in these fights."
"She just looks out for you. Even I can see that."
"Oh. Oh, and I'm sure Aunit[1] is just a lovely little bundle of joy that is only looking out for your well being."
Zapook shivered, "Why'd you have to bring her up, huh?"
"Why are you even followin me? You're my other, not my shadow."
"For your information, I left a few things here, I wanted to pick them up so a certain someone will stop complainin about me leaving my crap at her house."
Zee kicked the door open to her home after reaching the top of the hill and her and Zapook stared around the house as they took a few steps in.
Zapook stood there shaking her head, "Tina's right about you being a pig though."
The house, once again, was a disaster area, though the mess was unfamiliar to Zee. "Pookie, I didn't do it this time...Someone else was in here."
"You certainly are calm about having your home broken into. Are you sure you're just not tryin to cover yourself up?"
"I'm calm about it cause i don't really have anything of value for anyone to take, except the blood gem. Oh, and this egg."
"Where is the gem anyway?"
Zapook stared back at Zapook, "No offence...but only me and Tina are suppose to know where it is. Though...it looks like someone was here looking for it."
Zapook picked up a piece of paper, then laughed some and handed it to Zee, "I don't think they were looking for the gem."
Zee blinked a few times and took the paper from Zapook. She laughed, seeing it was a wanted poster with a picture of her on it. Zee then boiled it up and tossed it over her shoulder. "70k don't seem like a lot if you ask me."
Zapook grinned, "I wonder what you did for the towns nearby to put a reward on your head?"
"I wonder where they got that picture of me."
"Well...you probably had a stalker, after all, the humans knew where to find your home, right? Wonder if they know about Tina..."
"Trust me. They do."
"Why would they go after Tina?"
"Well...I might be wanted for my actions against the towns, but Tina's wanted for a different reason."
"And that would be?" Zapook looked over at Zee with her hands on her hips.
"Lemme answer your question with another question. How many albino cat demons do you see around here?"
"...I see. So she's wanted for her fur?"
"Exactly. And we've had a few confrontations before. As a matter of fact not too long ago...." Zee trailed off, and her ears began to twitch.
Zapook tilted her head to the side and tapped Zee's shoulder, "You Ok? What's wrong?"
"Shhh!" Zee put a finger to her mouth.
Zapook stood there for a few seconds, then realized what alarmed Zee. A small crackling noise was heard in the house. The two of them stood there for a few seconds before Zee turned around and stared wide-eyed at her egg. She placed it on the ground between her and Zapook, then sat down next to it, eagerly watching it. Zapook leaned down over the egg, smiling as bits of the shell began to fall to the floor. A small green snout poked it's way through the shell, making Zee squeal with delight. The tail of the small encased creature poked out of the opposite end of the shell. Looking up at Zapook and Zee, it shivered before retracting it's head into the egg again.
"Aww...How cute..." Zapook said as she reaches down to touch the egg. Zee snapped her jaws at Zapooks hand, making Zapook pull it back, startled, while Zee gently pulls the egg closer to herself.
"No touchy! Mine!" Zee growled before looking down at the egg once more.
"...It's barely an egg anymore. Why are you so protective of it still?"
"...maybe because I'm the one that's been watching it all this time!? ...Retard."
"No need to get snippy. I was just asking."
"Just get your crap and get outta here."
"What about you?"
"I'll be back at Tina's later on tonight."
"Ok ok..." Zapook nodded as she headed toward the door to Zee's basement. After gathering a few items up, she headed toward the front door, then turned to Zee as she grabbed the door's nob. "Don't forget to turn into a human when you visit town, Ok?"
"No duh! Just get outta here."
Zapook shrugged and closed the door.
