Well, I'm just now getting around to posting in my blogs again. I signed up on Xanga for the sole purpose of staying in touch with Dave, one of my buddies that got banned from that one site thing. Cokemusic, to be precise. Anyone go there? My username there is, surprisingly, Drakku. Amazing, y'know?
Well, my costume is coming along smoothly. The scary fact that it's made out of flour... water... and glue... is quite unnerving: especially the little chunks of "stuff" on the inside of the mask. I don't want to put my face in there. Blegh. sweatdrop I'm going to scratch out the inside, though, so it'll be okies to put my head in there. It's still scary, though, no matter WHAT anyone says. blaugh
And, speaking of scratching, I forgot I needed to make claws and stuff. So that'll come last, hopefully. Oh, and forget chicken feathers, I'm using the all-natural, all-useful, PINE NEEDLES!
Random Reader: Pine needles?! WTF?! PINE NEEDLES?! How the ******** does a chicken feather get replaced with a PINE NEEDLE?!
Like this: I couldn't find any feathers, and if I were to buy them, they'd cost WAY too much and would be evil. Then, I was outside trying to find sticks to use as claws (I'm going to wrap them in newspaper, paint them, and mold them to my fingers), and suddenly, it hits me. Literally. Pine needles were falling off the annoying pine tree in our backyard, and I pick one up and think, "Hey... there're hundreds of these... and if I clump them together, they'll look cool...Ah-HA!"
And so was born the random inspiration to use Pine Needles in place of Chicken Feathers. Understand?

... yeah, okay then.
