a fairly good start ot a novel.
"Bloody"? I whispered the name tentatively into the darkness. Where the hell was he? I rubbed my freezing arms.

It was very cold and all I had on was an old tee-shirt and a pair of very old worn jeans. I didn't even have any

shoes. If he didn't get here soon, I would have to leave without him, and come back once I had found Lukus,

or more likely, once he found me. I heard a low rustling and the cracking of branches on the cold, hard ground.

Could it be him? Probably not, he would take more care to be quite. He wanted to get away from this

place as much as I did. But now the noises were getting louder. What could it be? If it was him, why was he

not being quiet? Had he gone and hurt himself? If it was someone trying to find us, they would take care to

be quiet, so as not to scare us away. Perhaps, they weren't coming towards me?

No, the noises were deffinately getting louder. I shut my eyes and pressed my back up against the tree. I was trapped.

Trapped between my fear of after all the planning we had done to escape and getting caught, and the chance that it

could be Bloody. It would be best to run. If it was him, he would know what I was doing and go after me. If it

wasn't him, well, they'd come after me too, but Lukus would cut them down. But I couldn't run.

I couldn’t move. The footsteps where right in front of me now. I could hear the deep breathing of an large animal. I opened my eyes very slowly. Right in front of me, his huge black face only a few inches from mine, was a large wolf. A wave of relief washed over me.

"What took you so long"? I whispered, closing my eyes and taking a few deep breaths. I was just about to open my eyes when:

"Don't you open your eyes yet! Did you bring me some clothes"? I nodded and motioned beside me where I had placed some clothes for him. Oh, I should probably have mentioned what the hell is going on right now. *The wolf, is actually a fourteen year old boy. He has long curly black hair and extreamly bright green eyes. I saved him from slave traders a few years ago, and he has been trying to pay me back for it, however he is having a hard time getting any cash. He doesn't have to pay me off, I did it to save him. He wants to because he does not want to owe me for anything. And, he hates me so, as soon as he is paid off, I am sure he will leave. Back to the main subject, he is a werewolf and has been for longer than I have known him. He can transform at will, as well as every full moon. We have been captured by Jumana and Arabiors side of the secret vampire/drinker war. Our side is Drinker, the drinkers are vampires that only drink for need of it, Vampiers don't need to drink blood but they have the power to create other vampires. I however am not a vampier or a drinker.

"Ashby! Lets go! We need to find Lukus and get the hell away from here." He looked back over his shoulder and shuddered. Ackell was more interessed in torturing Bloody (the werewolf) and causing him unhappieness than than he was me for some reason. I nodded and followed him.

"What took you so long? I thought you'd been captured. I was worried".

"Whatever for? I can get myself out of anything. By myself. I don't need you worrying about me. Why would you be worrying about me anyway?"

I sighed. Bloody was always terribly difficult for me to deal with even though he usualy would do something if I asked him. But that was the only time he tried to be nice to me. Every comment, question, worry or concern of mine was always met with something rude.

"I was worried that you wouldn't come and I would have to go on to find Lukus on my own." He sneered at me.

"You're scared of these woods aren't you"?

"No less than you are". I shot back. He was just about to say something back to me when Lukus apeared.

"You two need to shut-up. I could hear you two arguing a mile away. You're going to get us caught. So shut up and stop arguing at every chance you get. Now lets get the hell outta here and get home." That was something we could all agree on. We nodded and followed behind him.

*It seemed as if we were walking for hours.* I glanced over at Bloody and wondered what had happened to him. He never spoke about what happened to him, ever. All I knew about his past was from documents and the bit that he had told me before he began hating me.

"what are you looking at"? He hissed and lifted his hand and wiped his left eye leaving a dark smear across his pale face.

"Your face is bleeding".

"I know". He licked his thumb and wiped the small cut again clearing away some of the bright red blood. Then he smiled and laughed. We get along much better when we don't speak at all.

"How much farther do we have to go Lukus? My leg is killing me." I looked down at his leg. I had noticed that he was limping slightly on his right leg. When I looked over at him now, he deffinatly seemed to be in a lot of pain.

"We still have quite a ways to go. And it wouldn't be very smart to stop right now. The best I could do is carry you." Bloody did not look to happy with this idea. But he ageed and Lukus picked him up effortlessly in his arms and we continued. His leg must have been causing him extream pain for him to accept help from Lukus.
