Before The Turn
In modern times, things such as lycans, Elves, Demons, Vampires and Walking Dead have been thought to only live in myth and lore. But now it seems that there is just a bit of truth to that. As of late, people have been showing up in hospitals, carrying strange diseases and odd bloodline characteristics. Those "diseases" have been known to cause physical and mental changes. Though some that have come to figure out what these oddities were, were soon hushed.
Humans are starting to go missing, or changing in what seems to be over night. With this happening and human paranoia kicking in, they do what they always have done in the past. Attempt to contain, experiment, and figure out a way to weaken them, if not kill them.
