I did a little fishing with a few friends at Durem yesterday, and I'm really getting tired of losing half the fish I catch with my dinky little starter rod. So I've decided to buy a better one. After a little research, I've settled on a Performance Rod Plus. I sold all my Bassken and Gambino fish to ronek to fund the purchase. I only need another grand or so before I can afford it.

I don't consider myself a competitive fisher, so I never really considered getting a better rod before. I thought it would take so many fish just to make up the purchase price of the rod that it wouldn't be worth it (especially with the grade D bait I usually use). But now that I'm fishing at Durem all the time, I figure I'll make up the rest of the money pretty quickly.
