~Dear Death Of Mine~

The full moon comes out and shines on us with its eerie light.
The boy down the street is playing the wrist violin.
The girl in the house thinks of jumping out the window.
The shrieks of the man being chased by a knife.
The cat scares the old man to death.
The boy slowly writes his last letter.
The heart broken mother reads the will.
The girl stares at the boy greedily.
The vampire looks up at the moon wondering why this all happened.
Is it because of the light of the full moon?
The vampire jumped off the tree branch and walked down the street.
He listens to the ambulance rushing to the old man's body.
He listens to the wails of the broken hearted mother.
He listens to the moans of the girl and boy.
He listens to the holder of the knife's sardonic laughter after the kill.
He listens to the thump of the girl's body as it hits the ground after jumping from the window three stories up.
He listens to the streching of a rope and the thump of a chair as it hits the ground from the boy kicking it out from under his feet.
He listens to the crying of the boy with the violin's bow on his wrist violin.
He starts to wonder..why do they think that will make them feel better?
Then he realized that he had no right to think that.
For he was just like them in one way or another.
He laughed in the darkness as he went off to search for his next meal.
