Waiting for an eternity
How long has she sat
Leaning on the windowsill
Staring through the glass
The rain falls against the pavement
Droplets everywhere
Her expression is as motionless
As her weary saddened stare
She awaits the day
When her love will take her hand
And lead her away
To the distant land
Far away
But for now
Her patience withers
As a shadow appears behind her
And she supresses a shiver
No one knows
What happened to the girl
That's how the story goes
As she leaves the world
