This is my favorite quote (even though its about a fictional character) from the Superman comic, its so profound and deep. It makes me think about people's ability to think of others and self sacrifice for another's life. Superman/Kal-el's parents sent him to an unknown world called earth just as their planet was about to explode. They put their hopes, and dreams for the future of their race with him. Not only is that a momentous responsibility but a privilege, a way to honor his people and home planet. Superman gets to show and instill the greatness his people once had at finding and holding onto a peaceful utopia. Its an inspirational quote, although a fictional one.
