aestatis = summer
hermes moon evolutions are being named for lacus (lakes) on the moon.
ok, i noticed that the name of the latest hermes moon phase is called aestatis. i looked it up and aestatis is latin for summer. lacus aestatis is a spot on our moon (one of the small mares). we've also had veris (spring) and somniorum (dreams) in the last 2 phases.
there are 20 lacus on the moon, they are:
• Somniorum (dreams) X 1st evolution
• Veris (spring) X 2nd evolution
• Aestatis (summer) X 3rd evolution
• Autumni (autumn) X 4th evolution
• Hiemalis (winter) X 5th evolution
• Doloris (sorrow) X 6th evolution
• Bonitatis (goodness)
• Excellentiae (excellence)
• Felicitatis (happiness)
• Gaudii (delight)
• Lenitatis (tenderness)
• Luxuriae (luxury)
• Mortis (death)
• Oblivionis (forgetfulness)
• Odii (hate)
• Perseverantiae (perseverance)
• Solitudinis (solitude)
• Spei (hope)
• Temporis (time)
• Timoris (fear)
so i'm thinking we might get 20 phases from the moon before it's done. that's if they just stick to the lacus names. if they use the other names we'll have about 37 more (in addition to the 20 lake names)...
