As a Bear of Little Brain
I think I'm going insane.
All I know is
I've never felt this way.
Life's not right
in my Hundred Akre Wood.
I'm doing things that
I never thought I would.
There's more than
honey jars
and red balloons
and bumping down stairs.
More than
chasing prints with Piglet
for hours on end.
More than hanging out with Robin,
or romping with Roo.
And yet I can't find anything more
than you.
Not quite what
I imagined you would be.
But somehow it seems
you're the better part of me.
You're not always calm,
and you're not always cool,
but you make me feel like
more than just Winnie the Fool.
With you life's
ups and downs
and off the walls
while bouncing around.
A mix of
clown and king and carpenter,
on occasion a frown.
It's not always calm,
and it's not always cool
with bittersweet surprises
around every turn.
But I get to see it all
with you.
