My life, totally
Yo, I will write about pretty much whatever I feel like.
reading project
heart A weird outfit, just how I like it, I thought to myself as I moved my black glasses up the bridge of my nose. My hair was down to my shoulders, and I wore a white knit cap to cover my head. I started to spin around the room to make sure that my long rainbow striped socks would stay in place. My red long sleeved shirt was long enough to cover my black fingerless gloves. I looked down at my purple sneakers and denim shorts as I started to tap dance. I looked at my alarm clock and saw that it was one forty-five. Sam should be here in fifteen minutes, I thought to myself as I started to bounce a little. Sam, my date, I thought with a smile. With how we started out, you would never think that we would ever go on a date.
heart It was sometime in January that I finally caved in and decided to go to math tutoring. I stood outside of the school library as I waited for my tutor. I saw my tutor and his name was Sam Runai. He had emerald green eyes and brown floppy hair. I can’t remember what he wore because he stopped my train of thought when he spoke. “Oh, you’re the weird girl,” he said with an annoyed sigh. I wasn’t offended but I retorted,” Well, you’re a math freak.” He looked at me for a minute and finally said,” Touché.” He walked next to me and linked arms with me. “Come Senorita loco, the geometry is waiting!” he said as we walked into the library together.
heart I had found out that he was in my lunch period and that we passed each other in the hall almost all the time. Every time we saw each other, we both stopped and started to talk about our day. During lunch, we started sitting together along with our group of friends. By the time it was March, my math average was a ninety-five and I didn’t need a tutor any more. When I told him that I didn’t need a tutor anymore, he seemed very relaxed. He walked next to me and gave me a hug. “Yay! My position has gone from tutor to friend.” he said as he broke the hug. He stepped back and looked at me. “I might be pushing it, but can I try to move up two positions in one day?” he asked tilting his head. “What do you mean?” I asked, tilting my head the same way he had. “Do you want to go out this Saturday? You know just hang out at Lloyd. Get lunch at the Taco Bell,” he said, shrugging his shoulders. “Sure! Meet me at the Hobby Shop at two,” I said with a smile. “Sorry, I can’t do that, you’re so short already. You’ll look like a sixth grader instead of a freshman. Crazy people could try to kidnap you!” he said with a fake gasp. “I’ll come to your house at two, so we can walk together.” he said with a smile. “Okay,” I said as I gave him my address. I have been waiting all week for this. He better not be late, I thought to myself.
heart It was one fifty-five when the door bell rang. I ran to the door. As I twisted the door knob, I lost my balance. I fell on the floor and landed on my bottom. I looked up to see Sam suppressing his laughter. “Hello there. Am I so awesome that you fell in awe?” he asked with a chuckle at the end. “No, your ugliness repelled me,” I said, laughing at the end. Sam walked over and helped me up as we walked out of the house. He was wearing a MRHS sweatshirt with blue jeans and black sneakers. We walked together and started talking about what kind of things we liked. In Sam, I found a fellow Star Wars fan, Doctor Who fanatic, Shonen Jump reader, soccer player, and lover of all things Disney.
heart When we finally got to the Hobby Shop, we put on a mini play with the hand puppets and looked at all the gag toys. We spent a good half an hour in the comic book section. Sam started to spazz when he saw the new issue of the Neopets magazine. He started to rant and rave over how the website had changed so drastically. He talked for about five minutes just explaining how hard it was to navigate the website nowadays. I just laughed at him a little bit as I confessed that I still had my Neopets account. Sam bought the magazine, and we continued our discussion on the world of Neopets. We walked to the Blockbuster and looked at all the Wii game options. We didn’t see anything interesting, that is, until we saw the new Shonen Jump magazine. I squealed in delight as I grabbed the magazine and ran to the counter to buy it. Sam walked casually in front of me and paid for the magazine. “Sam, you don’t have to pay for me,” I said, as he handed me the magazine. “Well, when we’re done we can switch. I read the Neopets, and then we switch magazines,” he said, with a smile. We walked out of the Blockbuster and walked to the Taco Bell.
heart We ordered and Sam paid for the meal. We sat down to eat when Sam asked me something. “Do you think you could beat me in an eating contest?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. “I could try,” I said, with determination in my eyes. The challenge was to eat two burritos and a small soda before the other person. When we started, Sam was a monster and shoved everything into his mouth at once. I just sat there and started taking quick small bites. A minute into the game and Sam still hadn’t swallowed all the food in his mouth. ”Kaitlin, turn away,” Sam managed to say through all of the food in his mouth. “Uh, ok,” I said, turning around. Sam picked up a napkin and spit all of the food in his mouth out. “Haha! You lose! I win!” I said, gleefully sticking my tongue out at him. “Well…I could beat your butt in soccer,” he said, wiping his mouth. We threw our trash out and started to walk towards Lloyd Road School.
heart When we got to the Lloyd Road soccer field, we saw a soccer ball in between two nets. We both dashed out to set up our goals. We ran to the soccer ball as we began a heated soccer game. Sam was on the school soccer team so it was really hard to get past him. I ran and acted like the goalie when Sam came up with the soccer ball. He stopped five feet in front of me,”Kaitlin move! I’m going to kick it!” he said, warning me. “I’m not moving! Kick the ball!” I called out, ready to defend the goal. “Okay, I’m kicking the ball,” he said, as he kicked the ball towards the net. The ball soared through the air as it hit my knee. I lost my balance and fell on my bottom.
heart “Ow…” I said, as I winced at the pain in my knee. “Oh my gosh!” Sam said running over to me. “Are you okay?” he asked, kneeling so he could examine my knee. “You broke my knee! My soccer career is over! I’m going to sue you!” I said, smiling at my fake rage. He caught on,” I’m going to buy the best lawyer in the state,” he said, in a business like tone. We both laughed as I lightly touched my knee to see if it still hurt. I sucked in a quick breathe as I winced at the pain. Sam looked back down at me again. ”Are you sure you’re okay?” he asked, as he held my hand in between his own. “Well, I don’t forgive you,” I said, sticking my tongue out at him. Sam looked me in the eyes,”What if I do this?” he asked. “Do wh-,” I was cut off by Sam giving me a peck on the lips. My face turned crimson as I looked at the ground. “Am I forgiven now?” he asked, with a chuckle at the end. “I guess you are,” I said, as I gave him a quick peck on the cheek. Now it was his turn to blush.
heart I looked up at the sky and saw that the cloudy day we had, had now transformed into a dark sky. The sky began to open up as we were pelted with rain. “Yay! It’s raining!” I said, as I opened my mouth to catch the rain. “You’re going to get sick,” Sam said taking his sweatshirt off. Sam put his sweatshirt on me as I looked at him. Under the sweatshirt he was wearing a plain black short sleeve shirt. “Now you’re going to get sick,” I said, as I tilted my head towards him. “You can have your sweatshirt back, rain won’t kill me,” I said, as I started to take the sweatshirt off. Sam put his hand up,” I’d rather get sick instead of you,” he said, as he readjusted the sweatshirt on me. “Come on it’s almost four. I promised your parents I would get you home on time.” Sam said, standing up. He held out a hand for me to grab. I took his hand and stood up next to him. I held onto his hand all the way back to my house.
heart When we were in my driveway, I started to take his sweatshirt off. “Just give it to me on Monday,” Sam said, eyeing me trying to wiggle out of his sweatshirt. “I don’t want you getting wet,” I said, with a pout on my face. “You’ll be warmer in this, besides I’ll be fine. We have to run laps for soccer in the rain. This’ll be good practice,” Sam said stretching. “If you get sick you’ll be in big trouble,” I said waving my finger at him. “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine,” he said, smiling sweetly at me. I walked over and gave him a hug. Sam kissed my forehead and hugged me tightly. “Call me when you get home,” I said, looking up at him. “Si Senorita,” Sam said as he started walking away. Sam called like he promised and we planned another date for next Saturday. Will the next date be as good as the first one? I don’t think that’s possible. I thought to myself as I read my book in his warm MRHS sweatshirt.
