Yes sorry for the totally 1337 title; but this is pretty much the only way I can express my feelings; with 1337 anger over a childish company.
Tell me, my dear Journal friends, am I taking this comment from Fleep too seriously? (BTW it's my mule that made the response.)

As a person who works his a** off for Gaians on a regular basis, putting in ridiculous amounts of overtime on stuff I wasn't explicitly asked to do, I say good day to you.
If you're not comfortable with the fact that Gaia needs to earn money to even operate but provides a free service anyway, then I think you haven't taken an honest look at the situation.

If people complaining about things they're unhappy with bothers you that much, then quit. Just talk to Lanzer and the CEO's and all the staff and agree to close the site and quit.
Honestly. People have a right to feel cheated. If you can't handle that, MR. developer, then that's your problem. You need money to keep the site running, as far as I remember it this isn't a charity. You aren't doing good for the world, you aren't helping starving orphans, you aren't saving everyone from Global warming.
No.
You're a business and you're leeching money off of users as fast as you can. This is WORSE than some MMORPGs. You're just constantly adding features that cost REAL MONEY. Sure the Admin-Lovers can support it with things like;
"People wanted this"
"The Admin can't win!"
"They do something nice and this is what they get!"
"You're all whinny bitches"
But you know what? You're taking it too far, sure Gaia's a business and not making ends meet right now but that doesn't mean you should be siphoning money off of your user base with cheap tactics.
The Main MC should have gotten stockings and shoes to match the Cash Shop items and the MC should have had the gloves added on as a bonus.
It's just rude of you to state that we should be grateful for you "busting your chops" off at our expense; sure I'd be grateful if the fruits of your labour were FREE but you're CHARGING me MONEY for the privilege.
Edit: And from your comment alone I am no longer going to invest real money in to this website. I'm sure that's No loss to you whatsoever there are plenty that will pay but you know. I'm going to make a personal stand and use my money to fund something I can respect which certainly is not Gaia Online at this time. I know you guys need money but I don't appreciate you telling me to be grateful when I never asked you to do overtime and to be so unable to take criticism. So you don't believe it's valid; you believe people missed the point of Gaia Online being money-desperate. So what. You don't need to tell us, in an indignant tone, that you work your a** off.
Fleep suggests that I/we should be happy and greatful for him working overtime; whilst I am very greatful for the wonderful free features I get the feeling the context that he is speaking in is regarding Cash Shop items.
I stand by what my mule said; I never asked him to work overtime. I wouldn't care if features didn't get released a day late because they had to go home. That would be fine.
I don't want his overtime used against me.
I stand by my feelings of anger; Fleep ******** up this time.
Much Love,

I'm grateful when they do a good job. And I'm not when they don't.
I see that you're not going to spend any real money on Gaia again. Now if you ask me (and you didn't >> wink best way to make an impact is to unite others that share the same stance. If you want, I've got a guild I bought accidentally (yeah, don't ask sweatdrop ) you can use it if you wanted to organize something. Just let me know. 3nodding
