The Ocean

I walked along a sea of black,
It's waves were overcoming.
I tried to find my own way back,
But everything was fading.

The waves crushed my heart,
And cut open my soul.
Now we're miles apart,
Never again to be whole.

I dreamed of the ocean,
Once calm and clear
Now worse then a dragon
To fill our hearts with fear.

I'll never venture again
To love's ocean shore.
For all within,
Is naught but sore.
