The room was large. The walls adorned with paintings of noble men and women. It also held small lamps that glowed warmly. The floor was encased in marble and jade, which were framed with gold. In the back of the room, there was a royal chair, it was cushioned with a thick padding, finely decorated dragons embraced the wooded arms and legs of his chair. There was a man, dressed finely in a suit, red with black clouds. it accompied his mood. The man sat there with an impatient look on his face, his eyes, filled with sorrow. He sighed silently as he heard the footsteps of his fiancé coming closer to him. She wore a layered kimono, it was red with a flowered pattern that seemed to dance about her. She wore her hair in a tight bun, with a hair ornate that held it together. it had a series of beads hanging from the tips, they dangled like helpless beings hung from their necks. her eyes seemed as sharp as a snakes fangs.
"Dear," she said sternly, only seeing him as so. "Are the preparations complete?" she asked with an uncaring yet knowing tone as she sat down on a chair next to his. If they were not done, she would be furious, if they were as expected then there would be no reason to say another word. He shook his head slightly, hoping that she would leave him be, but she persisted. "Dear, i know you are frustrated about all this, but it will be over soon," she gave him a sly smile. To her it was nothing more then a marriage for his money, and he know of this, sadly he had to commit. His land and hers were having wars often, with this marriage it would all end. So he sacrificed himself for her ambitions and for his country.
"I know my love, but this wedding is not approaching soon enough," he glanced over at her, his head resting on his arm. He loved playing with her emotions, she was cruel and greedy, so she was blinded by it all, so she couldn’t tell the difference between a truth and a lie. "I cant wait to see your beautiful smile my love..." He daringly said. She gave him a conceited smile, "Of course I am beautiful...," she said with a grin that showed her white pearled teeth, but somehow they were sharp like a snakes. "i AM the most treasured one from my clan after all...out of all my fathers daughters, I was the most beautiful--" she went on gloating as he sat there with an unamused look on his face. Then a servant came in. She was a small woman with dainty feet, she was thin but showed a strong being. She was as beautiful as a bundle flowers, that grew from love.
She bowed accordingly and said, "Lord Michio, the new room for the child is complete." She looked up and smiled warmingly, "Good evening Miss Mimiru..." she then bowed again not wanting to tempt the mad woman. "Go get my bath ready..." Mimiru said suddenly, "and make it warm, if its too hot ill have you whipped a hundred times," she said bluntly. She knew her lord favored her deeply, and she wasn’t going to lose to some servant. "Yes my lady, right way." she then bowed again, gave the lord a quick smile and walked away. "Another bath...? Did you not take one this morning?" he gave her a glance. "Of course i did, she just isn’t busy enough." She gave a short laugh and got up to walk away. "My darling...do not be persuaded by the lower class. You wont gain a thing from them but dust," with that she mearly flicked the beads in her hair to the side and walked away into the long hallway. "My dear you are wrong..." he thought to himself, "love is the only thing i wish to gain... it is the only thing money cant buy...." he looked down sadly and signed yet again. he uncrossed his legs and recrossed them in another position. "How long will this last...?" he said to himself, unsure of how much more he could take.
