I had the longest a** dream last night. I'll try to recall it now.
I found myself in the kitchen, which oddly looked exactly like mine. My dad was in the kitchen with me, helping to close windows and doors facing the backyard. I looked out the back and there was nothing but snow. I'm not sure how but I knew there was some distress urging us to barricade ourselves. Samantha was there too. She seemed on edge and alert. I remember looking back to a door that doesn't exist in my house, one to the basement which is equally non-existent. The feeling I got was that if something broke these "Defenses" that would be the next "line." Suddenly I heard glass shatter and saw a huge white wolf leap through the window over the sink. In the split second before I could act I was scared that Samantha would jump in like the brave little lunatic she is. I rushed around through the hallway to head this wolf off, and when I caught the wolf I beat it to death and then some. I'm not sure what my weapon was, but I remember it having an axe-like head and the handle attached with some sort of twine. I only remember this because it was breaking. I noticed on the living room carpet a clear glass-like rod, which I suspect was a sword. I thought to myself, "How did this get here?" As if he could read my thoughts my dad explained, "It belongs to the Ice Witch, who lays at our feet dead." After that I remember being over-run by brown wolves somehow and falling back to the next line of defense...
The next thing I remember is walking out a wooden door to almost like a town in the old west. The houses formed three sides of a square, with the houses and the porches elevated a bit. The center was the darkest soil I've ever seen, and it was slightly muddy. I think I saw horse and human tracks. I'm not sure what the commotion was but I rushed over to the middle of the northern side from the western side. When I got there there was someone yelling at a door I think. I'm not sure from where. The door was wooden too, but had glass windows, about 8 of them arranged 2x4. Behind the panes there was an orange glow. Maybe it was lit by candles. Eventually, a woman dressed in Victorian attire appeared behind the door and as she opened it she had a man in front of her. I realized the man was a a shield against me. For a few minutes there was dialogue which I cannot for the life of me remember. I do however, remember the result. As the lady kept talking she slipped up and the man tried to get away. While the man had managed to duck for cover I whipped out my glass sword(or whatever) and I blasted the hostage-taker with some sort of magic. I don't know who she was, but I felt a feeling of satisfaction and relief when she died. I walked away from that scene then, behind the town in the direction I came from. By now trees, rocks, and a stream had appeared. I found many townsfolk on a hill back there. I approached and they seemed glad to see me. I can only assume it was because I had vanquished the woman. Then I saw a girl. She nodded in greeting, and she walked down the hill towards these four rocks I had seen down close to that stream. The rest of the townsfolk began to casually disperse as well. I followed her down and suddenly the rocks became wreathed in the most brilliant flames of orange and blue. I sat down at a safe distance. I noticed the sun dimming, as the waves of heat from the flames crashed into me like waves on a rock face. Then I saw the girl sit down between the rocks in the flames. I spoke out a few words of warning, but she didn't move until the flames licked her. When she jumped out of the flames she saw me, and she sat down next to me. I felt really happy and content with her nearby. I only sat down for a few minutes longer then I rushed up a very steep hill to a flat little landing. The landing wasn't very big, but it had rope fences around two sides of it. On the far side of this little landing a big olive drab cargo plane was hovering and blowing air back. In front of the open cargo doors stood 4 or 5 people. Two of them were Kenji and Kao, the other three didn't have distinct identities. I walked up to Kenji and told him I was no longer escaping to China with them. He asked, "Why?" I can't believe I said this, but I replied, "I have to see about a girl." I didn't directly hear him respond as I turned to rejoin the girl waiting, but I think he said something like, "That's cheesy," or "You have to be kidding me."
Then I woke up.
