The Stars
Do you see them in the night?
Do you hear their simple voices?
DO you know what they say?
Do you know what they know?
They speak of peaceful days.
times of rest
times of care
they speak for the forgotten.
I remember those days.
Life was so simple
The north star guided the way
the way home, the way to my life.
i remember what the stars say.
they say child don't fear
they shine in the night sky
beauty undefined.
In the shadows they say evil sleeps
the demons were sent there to live
the day was for the god fearing man
the night, for the unholy beast.
The stars speak of time with out fear
when the quiet trees stood watching
the grass were blowing
the simple creatures, one that innocence forgot
I can not see that anymore
the peaceful days are gone
the lands are in flames
the stars cry and gleam.
When the moon refuses to bless the night
when the stars never shine
when the beast of hell grown for meat
what has man done?
For these beast are not demons.
They are the machines mans made
The sins he committed
forced to stay and destroy
i still find my peaceful place
in the quiet beauty of the moonlight
i look up at the stars and smile
not all is forgotten.
