A perverse game of "Jeopardy", but money is
not
the object of the game
The game is your life
and the prize?
Your fate.
Sound fun?
No?
But it’s only begun!
The wheel turns
turns

and spins
spins
spins
going from nowhere
to loom before you
its great shadow hiding three
who watch the wheel spin
spin
spin
and that is what they do
It is she who twists the thread
who twists your life
It is she who weaves the thread
that weaves your future
It is she who cuts the thread
that rips it all away
sending you to
darkness
So are we free?
Free to chose?
Free to turn away and do as we
will?
But of course
The future is in
thread
not
stone
She who twists creates you
but she who weaves adds only
opportunities
She keeps the skein
this giant loom
free of tangle
a task at which she must stay vigilant,
for humans are
Chaotic
by
Nature
And she who cuts does only when the
pattern ceases to
aid the
Grand Design
Complain all you like
but
Don't.
Blame.

First poem, w00t! Well, first one I put up on this profile anyway, not first poem period XP
Anyway, I'm doing a mural project thing at my school and I'm drawing the Fates (Clotho, Lachesis and Atropus, aka: future, present and past) and this poem just popped into my head. I wrote it down, got an opinion from my English teacher, added a few lines and here it is XP
I happen to like it, what do you other random people on the net think?
