My Writing Sanctuary
Hopefully this will be where I will post some of the stories (in progress or not) that I have written so far. So, feel free to comment, as long as it's constructive criticism, I don't like unprofitable flaming. ^_^ So, read and enjoy! Love!
A Vampire Story (I have yet to give it a title) .:Prologue:.
The clouds hung oppressively over the countryside, as grey and thick as a blanket billowing monotonously as far as the eye could see. The rain had lessened to a steady drizzle, but that did nothing to lessen the cold that seemed to soak into the very marrow of my bones. I remember that day very clearly, as I would remember the many months following with the same tedious detail. October was nearing its end and my family and I were finally sending the last items to our new house, even though we were moving in a month late.

We were moving to the house, in all honesty it was mansion, because of my health. Ever since I was a child I had been a sickly little thing, it was a wonder that I survived to adulthood. The doctors had recently informed my parents that if nothing was done to remove me from the polluted, germ infested city that I would be dead within a few weeks. So, in order to preserve my life, my father entrusted his company to his business partner and moved us to a house that was nestled deep in the countryside. My sisters were quite disheartened by the news because their fiancés lived in the city. This made them hate me even more, despite the fact that father had already invited their fiancés to help us with the move so they would be traveling with us anyway.

Personally, I was more thrilled at the news than was expected. The city was so loud and seething with life and death that I do not think that I could have stood another year in the dreadful place. Besides, I had heard many stories about the countryside, its mystery and romance, an ideal breeding ground for the imagination. It sounded like the perfect place for me to continue secretly writing my book.

So far, despite the inclement weather and the less than comfortable coach ride, the journey had not proven me wrong so far. Ideas flowed through my head as I let my imagination roam freely to the horizon of the landscape and beyond. The trees whispered secrets to me as the coaches passed between their massive trunks. The streams and rivers sang songs of love while the moors spoke of desolation and death along with a new beginning as we passed.

But I do not believe that the inspiration I gained during the journey was what makes me remember that day so vividly. It was not the cold, nor the landscape which impressed me so profoundly, but rather an occurrence, a meeting. This occurrence would lead me into a world that I could never have imagined on my own. A world that, sooner than I thought possible, would change my life forever. A world that was introduced to me through a simple act of compassion, a simple meeting, for that was the day I met him.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Okay, that was just the prologue, so I'm sorry if it isn't necessarily gripping yet. I'll post the first chapter as soon as I can, also depending if I get any comments from you guys. So, please comment. ^_^ Much love!

NOTE: For further reference in this story.....
*~*~* (means change of person)
*~* (means change in scene, but not person)
Once you guys continue reading and pick up on the characters' voices, I don't think you'll have any trouble, but I thought that would be useful information until you get used to it. ^_^
