well I've been playing this series a while now and i think i've been overthinking how each one flows BTW Gina if your reading this show this to Robin cus i would like his input.

okay so breath of fire is usally about a character named Ryu who can turn into a dragon and save the world pretty simple right? Okay then heres the history for all the BOF games to start. by the way i'm going by in game referances not any of the manga's or anime. Also I'm useing the proper names in the games.

Right now i'll get the intros done and afterwords i'll explane how each one flows.

BOF1:
many years ago the world was at peace and all the clans lived in harmony. The Dragon clan ruled the world with theior awsome power and kindness, But that changed when the goddess Maria (tyr in the NA) appered and started granting wishes to people who saught her power.

The greed of power soon split the Dragon Clan into two families the dark and the light dragons. After many years of War for The goddess power A light dragon and a strong warrior from each clan faced Maria and sealed her away useing the 6 goddess keys. since then the remaining light dragons decided to renonce their power for the good of the world.

Untill Zog, King of the Dark Dragons came to power to start the war anew.

Bof2:
1000 Years after the events of Breath of fire 1 Maria dissapered, However she left behind her evil in the worlds core. The remaining Dragon Clansmen both light and Dark reunited and made their way underground to try and stop the demon from forming.

A dragon Maiden named Valarie went back to the surface to try and see how the demon is gaining strength.

Soon the maiden fell in love with a minister of the St Eva church and bore two children a boy named Ryu and a girl named Yua. Things were peacful, Untill demons attacked the village. Valarie had no choise she turned herself into her holy dragon form and used her body to seal the gate to the underworld. Because of this however she fell into a deep sleep in order to hold her form.

A few years have passed and Ryu a young boy is sent to find his sister, Who is napping near the dragon, Ryu tries to fight off a monster that attacks but was too weak Gander saves ryu. The father and sister go to the village first and Ryu naps by the dragon a bit. (in the game you are asked if you want to or not but its mainly to pass some time)

Upon returning The villagers do not remember Ryu or his family, In fact his father and sister are now gone and ryu is now an orphan He meets his first friend Bow in the church he used to call home and the two decide to leave the village and head into a cave when rain starts to fall, Ryu and Bow encounter within that cave a nightmareish demon who attacks the two boys and leaves.

Ryu's journey for answers starts 10 years later.

Bof 3:
Maria and the dragon clan have started the fight anew, Maria created her guardians to kill all the dragons in the world beleaveing they are evil and its better that they die for the good of the world.

Many people have forgotten about the dragon clan, However that soon changes when a pair of miners named Gary and Mogu detonate a crysm crystal releaseing a Whelp (baby dragon) from its hybernation.

The Whelp tries to exit the mine however it is soon stopped and taken away by train.

The whelp soon falls off the train and crashes into the Woods and reverts to a human child named Ryu.

Ryu is then found by two orphans Rei and Teepo a pair of theives who are trying to get food, The trio try to steal food but are cought and put to work.

Rei is sent to fight off a creature called the Nue while Ryu and Teepo are forced to chop wood, When teepo and ryu reunite with Rei and they kill the nue they are concidered heros of the small farming town, But when a man named Loki tricks them into stealing from the currupt Mayor the trio's lifes are changed forever

BOF4:
Princess Nina is on a quest to find her sister who went missing touring the western land. at the same time the Fou empire has tried to summon the Yore dragon to their side however that results in Fou-lu being ressurected and Ryu being formed in a crator on the eastern side.

Fou-Lu travels his land to see how things have changed and soon after being dead for several thousand years.

Ryu travels with Nina to find out who he is and why he was created.

Dragon Quarter:

The world was forced underground after a desaster above made the world uninhabitable, now a Ranger named Ryu and his friend Boche must take a genetic experament to Biocorp for testing. A trinity agent named Rin stops the transport and Ryu and Boche are seperated, around this time Ryu is chossen by the Wyrm dragon Odjin to try and go to the sky.
