Staring, lost within her own thought. She looked at him with disbelief. How? When? The images kept going through her mind. Over and over, his body and this girl...
"It's true," he whispers in her ear. All alone in a small room. She stood looking at him. She's not sure anymore of how she feels. Her heart is breaking and he doesn't even know. He can't know. "Everything you heard is true." The words burn deeply into her heart and she can no longer breathe. She nodded and walked away to her friends. She laughed and played as if her life was still the same but they saw her grief. It showed in her eyes.
She went on with her day, dazed and lost within the shattering mind of hers. Over and over, she remembered his words. She doesn't want him anymore but still does...
Another day comes, she's still alive and still shattered in the head. She sees him but she doesn't look in his eyes. Doesn't speak to him, no matter how much she wants to...
"Speak to me," he grabbed her arm demanding. "I can't stand this!"
"I didn't want to hear that," she said trying to keep from crying.
"Isn't it better that you know," he said licking his lips as they stared at each other.
"Yes but not like that," tears were building up. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't because you would look at me different. I didn't want that."
"Well, it did."
