Clan Name: Sasaki
Background: Founded in what is now Amegakure, the Sasaki clan were master blacksmiths and swordsmen. After years of selling themselves out as assassins, they quickly mastered the art of the sword and felt that, as long as you had a good handle on your weapon, jutsu were not necessary. They invented many of the sword techniques used today and are famous for their quick, yet deadly strikes.
No matter how powerful they may have been, through many arduous battles with the opposing forces the death toll of the clan began to rise. Today, there are less than twenty members remaining, many of which still proudly label themselves as "sell-swords" or "mercenaries". The remaining members reside in what is now the newly formed Amegakure, all except the great great grandson of the very first swordsman of the Sasaki clan, Kojiro (RPed by Kaiosou Kineta). Unfortunately some of the members have given up swordplay and tend to use Ninjutsu and Taijutsu techniques in combat.

Kekkei Genkai: "Tsubamegan - The Swallow's Eye"
The Tsubamegan was originally developed by the Sasaki clan's first swordsman as a means of seeing through the country's thick rain. Basically, by feeding a suitable amount of their chakra through their optic nerves, they can dramatically increase their vision for a fixed amount of time. The time the Tsubamegan stays active is dependant on the user's skill with it. If someone trained with it every day for two entire years they may be able to keep it active for an hour and ten minutes at the most.
Through increasing their vision in this way the user's peripheral vision becomes more acute and they can nearly sense when a movement is being made within a five foot radius around them, giving them a short amount of time to change strategy, much like a swallow can sense danger and move into a different flight path. Also, because their vision is more acute, the may notice Genjutsu being cast on them and be more aware and able to initiate 'Kai', rather than having to suffer it out until they reach the conclusion that they are within the illusion. Again, this ability relies on the user's skill with Tsubamegan.
Clan Techniques: The Sasaki clan have no shared techniques. They develop their own techniques and keep them to themselves until someone is proven worthy enough to be taught them.
Misc: All clan members have long black/ raven hair and gray eyes.
Weaknesses: The Sasaki clan are unable to learn Genjutsu because they lack the chakra control required. A true Sasaki clan member would not know any Ninjutsu past the basic five (Bunshin, Kawarimi, Shunshin, Kai, and Henge). They also have hereditary low blood iron. A small knick may take half an hour to clot and an entire twenty-four hour period to scab over.
