Waking...up?
Sitting up, Dragon vigorously wiped her face with her hands before opening her eyes. She knew what happened--but as the true memories flooded in on her, Dragon rolled her eyes shut and flopped onto her back. "Craaaaaaaaaap."
It was true that Dragon had landed outside a building called Fanterious Hotel, it was true she had managed to change her appearance before entering the building, and it was true that she met the vampire twins--but that is where truth and fantasy divided. Dragon had never made it inside. The black and white diamond encrusted headpiece had been thrown onto her head--where it landed with some luck--and had put her under its powerful spell. The rest of the "night" she had imagined was just her mind's way of unsuccessfully trying to throw off the enchantment.
Knowing what she was doing now was another figment of her mind fighting the enchantment, Dragon sat back up and looked about. She was surrounded by inky blackness--except for the fact laying on either side of her were Nogard and Xangord, and Nogard's hair and wings were providing plenty of light.
Before Dragon could wake them, what appeared to be a giant window opened to reveal the true world--"So I'm in that back gem on that headpiece," Dragon said, considering the view through the window.--in which seemed to be a stainless steel room.
Shushing Nogard and Xangord as they woke up, Dragon pointed at the screen. "Wait, watch."
Suddenly, a section of the seamless wall across the room slid back and rolled upward and the vampire brothers entered the room. With identical looks of hunger on their faces, they approached the window--though they could not see who was beyond the window, of that Dragon was sure. They muttered something so softly that the words themselves were barely heard then the edges of the window erupted in soft purple-white flames.
"That's mana [+1]," Xangord said. "Not mine though. Mine's gray."
"Might be the three of ours combined," Nogard replied.
"It's not good that they made it visible," Dragon said. "I don't think these guys are your normal blood-sucking vampires."
As to prove this point, the twin vampires began to suck up the flames. Almost instantly, Dragon and her sisters began to feel weak.
