We had finally made it to our destination.This damp wind blew even harder and a silent rain was falling down.A bad feeling swam through our vains as we had finally realized what was wrong with this silent land.

"Someone's died."Natsuki's voice was quiet,as if she were to speak any louder,the place would shadder.

"You both feel it too?"We looked around."The sky's even crying."And it was.The aura was something that could destroy any thought.It seemed to make one think of all that was bad.I snapped out of my daydreaming to wake my sisters from theirs."Let's not forget the mission you two.Yumi...do you know what building it is."

Yumi looked up at me and nodded."Yeah,that one."Her finger pointed to an inn that seemed to be too far away.We looked at eachother and nodded.We slowly made our way,the mud slapping against our feet.The rain dampened our hair and our spirits.Something was wrong.The area was too cold and forgotten.We looked at every building,keeping our thought of each one to ourselves.The buildings were old looking and grey.

"I wonder if its always like this."Natsuki whispered.The quiet around us was so thick,that the slightest breath could be heard.

"I doubt it."Yumi gave her a look that made her feel stupid."Sorry,I just asked.It's dead around here,some might mistake it for a graveyard."We finally reached the inn.Surprisingly,it had lights on....and it had a welcome sighn above its door.The sound of men's drunken voices could be heard and we readied ourselves for anything.

*Crash!*A bottle flew across the room and hit the wall behind us.

"HEY!!Watch it you co-"Yumi blocked Natsuki's mouth from finishing."Shut it!"She hushed."We don't want any trou-"a bottle flew toward her head and she got angry."Why you little....."I put my hand in front of her to stop her from going any further.

"Don't start anything you two.We have a mission that we have to complete.Now come on,lets try to find the owner."They nodded and we walked on through the crowds of drunken men and the clouds of smoke from pipes being smoked.Men were playin poker and women were acting in an ugly manner.Some men gave us dirty lookes,and though Yumi and I ignored them,Natsuki couldn't help but to stick her toungue out.She clung herself around my are as two men made their way toward us.

"Hey hey.........now...whats this?Thrww pretty little girls in a place like this."Natsuki got mad."We are NOT little girls!!"He looked at us."Is that so."I looked up at him."Get out of our way."Yumi stated."You stink.You're nothing but a worthless peice of garbage."

"Hey now!"He put his hand around her arm and thats when my line was crossed.
I grabbed his arm and threw him to the ground."You dare touch my sister again....and I'll kill you!"Four more men gathered around us adn one of them spoke."Well,lets just take this outside."Yumi smirked."Hey,....Miku.."What?"Her smirk deepened."I get the fat one."

Yumi was the first to hit.Her target flew out the door and she leapt after him.A man followed after them and we found we each had two to fight."I get these two""And I have these two."At first,Natsuki's back and mine were together,then.....we separated and we each let out a punch.I drop kicked the first one to the ground and then the other one came at me with a nife.I dogded only to find myself in the arms of the other.I hit my head back to shatter two of his teeth and have him fall to the ground yet again.The other one came at me with a chair and I stopped it with one hand.His expression was clueless.

"W.....what are you?"I smirked.I moved quickly behind him taking his arm with me."Your worst nightmare."I put my foot to his back and kicked him to Natsuki's pile.She dusted herself off,then Yumi came in and laughed."Ehh.....what a waste of time and energy."Natsuki shrugged..."Oh well....now what."I looked around at the people looking at us.Then an old woman came up to us."So you're the ones come to protect the three boys."Her voice was quiet.I nodded and she nodded with us."Wait until everyone leaves,I'll lead you to them when the room is silent.In the mean time,thank you.Thos men give me trouble every night."

"No problem......they smelt bad anyway."Natsuki waved her hand infront of her face.The old woman laughed."Ha ha....I see.You three are quite the shinobi aren't you."We smiled as she handed us glasses of tea.

"So,"I said,my voice filled with concern."Why is it so quiet out there?I see that soemone has passed away?"Natsuki and Yumi turned from their enjoyment of the poker games to hear what she had to say.Her face grew grim to match her voice."Yes,another one of our sons has died in battle."The room soon grew quiet and an older man stood up.

"My son to be exact."Another,more younger,stood up."My brother died for some stupid emporer who's to afraid to fight his own battles.If I ever see him,I'll spit on him."He spat at the ground.We turned around to the old woman speaking."Each and every month,six of our young men go and fight in the war,and for what?So they can die and we lose more of our families.Sometimes I really wonder what those royals are truely fighting for.Their lands.....or their pride?"We looked down.

"Here Here....We've cried for the dead,so lets celebrate the living!"The rest agreed with him,had a cheers,and turned back as if no words were said.We smiled knowing that they hope for the living....and sometimes.....hope is all one needs.

As the night grew later,the atmosphere grew clearer and more quiet.As more people left,the room seemed to fill with a since of constant worry.As the rest if the night grew still,the room had finally emptied out aand we were ordered to lock the doors.She looked up the stairs to make sure everyone was asleep then she looked our way.

"This way."She led us down into a storage room."They've been waiting for weeks now.When they came here,their gruoup was atacked,so we sent for the three best shinobi."I looked towards my sisters.

"Umm...mam,"She turned around."What is your relation to these boys?"She chuckled slightly."Well,....they saved my husband when they were kids.My husband cooked for the emporer and these boys messed up the dish.My husband was going to die,but thankfully.....they saved him."We looked at eachother,smiling.

"Atleast they're not stuck up."Natsuki sighed and her voice was full of releif.Her only fear was that the ones we would protect would be stuck up and as low as trash.To hear that they wouldn't let a man die for their mistakes...was something good to know.

"We're here."She opened a door and a bright light shown through.

"Shin,Nori,Kazuki!!!!!"All three boys were sleeping and they looked as if they had had a world of trouble.The room had a musty smell to it and the atmospere was dulk and shabby.

"And you call these boys royalty?"Yumi shook her head at the boys huddled against the fire.Just before the old woman could nudje them,Natsuki had dumped cold water on them and shouted in their ears."WAKE UP YOU LAZY BUMS!!!!!"All three of them jumped at the new interference.

"Gomenasei.....they don't usually act like this."the old woman bowed at the unwelcoming sight of these three who seemed to have nothing to do with the emporer.One with brown hair pulled to a ponytail looked up at us and gave us a look.

"Oy!...........Tomoko......who are these people."Before she could speak,I snapped at them."Oy to you as well.This woman gives you haspitality and you give her trash.You really are low as dogs."Then one with white hair stood up.

"Don't you talk to my brother like that!"He aimed a punch but I pulled an arm behind him and he showed a sighn of pain."Don't get so cocky!"I shouted.Ikicked him to the ground and they each looked up at us.Then one with blonde hair looked at Natsuki.He stood up and walked to her.

"O-....oy.....your pretty!"Natsuki blushed and she laughed."M-my name's Nori and this is Shin."He pointed to the brown haired boy who waved a hand."Yo!"I looked to the ground."And this.....must be Kazuki.....right?"They both nodded.Natsuki,Yumi and I looked at eachother.....we would certanly have our hands full.
