Ah, my first day of vacation without friends to entertain...well, I went to see my grandma with Alzheimers today, so it wasn't all that exciting, but still I got to relax and everything. Boy, last night's thunderstorm was crazy, though. Our back yard looked like a lake by the time it was through, at about 4 in the morning. No joke. I've never seen anything like it. And the freaky part was that in the morning, it was all gone, like we had dreamed it. I don't think Dad thinks he dreamed driving through 4 feet of water to do his paper route, though. The football field was up to the bleachers in water, and a park called Rising Park was completely under water, like there was no park at all. Craziness, I tell you. All of that was gone by morning, too. It was the wierdest thing...
