Deep within her eyes,
You could see all the pain
But you chose to hide,
Until it drove you insane.
She loved you more then anything,
The way you "forgot" her past,
To you, she would cling,
As though trying to make it last.
But under your mask of joy,
All you felt was shame,
It took you over like a toy,
Took your soul, again and again.
She thought your love was genuine,
She defended you,
But you never let her in,
You were never true.
