Bored......... Listening to http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ko7DbXcojdM OK, story time....
Silent. Stealthy. One must be one with his surroundings. Blend in the darkness of shadows; hide in the crevices of corners. Let your presence be masked. Let not even yourself know you are there. Leave no trace.
Tp! Tp! Tp! Faint footsteps descended the hallway. The lights flickered with movement of the machine. Nothing could be seen, save for the slightest trace of blue and white in the shadows. A tint of a sword. More than one? Hard to say.
The figure moved quietly and quickly, efficient skills in this mission.
Voices, distant, became closer as the figure stopped completely. Two guards went and passed, leaving only the hum of their voices in the air.
The figure continued on his way, ever-so-slightly turning his head to each branching hallway to find them clear.
"Ha ha ha..." a deep, far-off voice echoed through the machine, "Now that I've caught you, I-"
"Sir, I've orders from the Master. Says to bring him back to his cell," another voice intruded, making the other guy grunt angrily as the messenger took the prisoner and left the man in the room.
The figure in the shadows squatted and soon pursued the messenger, who was currently holding the prisoner by the chains on his wrists and pulling him to their destination, which they reached.
A cell. Cold, dingy, filthy, foul-smelling. Even the figure couldn't understand how anyone could live in those kind of living conditions.
The messenger retrieved a key from his pocket, opened the cell door, and pushed the prisoner inside, locking it up after him. He replaced the key back in his pocket and backtracked his path to the Master.
The figure walked to the cell and swung the pick-pocketed key around his finger before opening the cell door. Half of a face lay in shadow, the rest lit with the eery light of the hallway and the moon's rays from the little window. Eyes lifted to see a dark shadow standing in the doorway.
"W-who are you?" the prisoner asked, desperate for escape as he tried to think of a possible way to evade the figure blocking his way to freedom.
The figure tilted his head and raised his arms behind his back to grasp two thin blades.
